Talk to people at your school i.e. a counselor.

Try harder to get a job too. Just sayin.
Or show proof that you've been trying. I have the unfortunate pleasure of still living with my parents. But i can;t get a job to save my life.
I thoroughly understand your situation.

Have you tried using a job search engine? Careerbuilder.com opened up many avenues for me. I can say for a fact that my interview rate spiked in contrast to before I found them.

It's free too.

Military dude. I live in the states so I can't be sure its the same in canada, but at 16 all your mom needs to do is sign a parental consent form and you can join the military. Bootcamp kind of sucks but afterwards you got a job, a paycheck, a place to stay, a whole new outlook on life, and might I add, one less bitchy mother that you don't have to talk to.

Bleh. It's not such a big deal. My mother kicked me out of the house when I was 17 (For the same reason, actually.)

Then again, my mother was a former substance abuser and wasn't quite right in the head. Well, either way, I moved in with my grandparents after being homeless for a few weeks.

Moral of the story is, ask a relative to take you in if your mother dumps your ass.

Edit: Or even just ask a relative for help getting a job. My grandfather was able to get me a job as a permit expediter, so now I make $48000 a year doing...nothing. (Well, basically I call people and yell at them for not working fast enough. That's it.)

That's how I can afford to go through the police academy at any rate.

Edit2: Looked through the thread again. I was kicked out because I didn't have a job, not because she caught me with porn.

Unless they changed this, I think you need to be 17 to actually start serving. You can sign up for a delayed entry, but you can't go to basic training until age 17.

But yeah, I'd contact any family members that might be able to help you out. Or a teacher/counselor you think you can trust...or even a friend's parents. If NONE of that is available to you, then go to whatever Canada calls DHR and get their help.

I've used a few sites. None have worked. I don't have a specific Field that i can just say "Hey. I'm good at this."
Yes well, this didn't 'work' for me either for over a year.

Always a matter of chance whether you will get hired or not; look for entry level stuff.

Well at my age i only use Resumes. Anywhere that makes me fill out an application isn't worth my time. Or thats how i see it at least.
WHOA.

Either things work WAAAAAY differently in the US or... well, I don't know, something else. What's your logic behind that? Not trying to be rude, just need to understand before I can give any REAL advice.

But if I were to assume things worked the same way as they do here, all I can say is this: if you need a job, you need a job. You can't be picky at all. Start filling out applications?

Well, first things first. Are parents required by law to care for their kids in Canada?

Second thing. Get a job dawg, doesn't have to be good. Better to clean toilets ad McDonalds for some money than be feces free and have no money.

Talk to her about it. I really doubt a reasonable parent would kick their 16 year old kid out because of porn. Of course, your parent might not be reasonable. Are you behaving properly? Are you doing drugs?

Lastly. Check if there are other relatives you can live with or perhaps a friend.

Worst case scenario. Shoot mom and live comfortable life in prison.
That was a joke. Don't shoot your mom. Poison her. Harder to trace.

sorry don't know about canadian law, here in england you just file a few papers down the local council, you might get a council flat and job-seekers allowance if u qualify, so u can be ok while u look for a job.

I'd greatly suggest going into town and handing around ur CV, looking for ANYTHING it doesn't matter if the job sucks you NEED it by the sounds of things mate. some part-time coffee hut gig wouldn't hurt. Also ask around, family, friends and etc and see if there any jobs going in their line of work.

its not what u know its how u know ^^

good luck canadian gamer

When my siblings had trouble getting a job (due to economy and general laziness), what cooled my mom down was that they made a goal to send one job application a day.

But she wants you to get a job and you're sixteen? A bit hasty, in my opinion.

Remind her that the world economy is quote horrible at the moment and that it is taking even fully qualified people a while to get the most simple of jobs.

If she is really threatening to kick you out you need to speak to someone like school councillor as I'm pretty sure putting a 16 year old on the streets isn't a good or legal plan.

Here is a wesbite for support of teens in canada perhaps they can give you some advice.

I think legally until you're 18 she has a duty of care and can't kick you out when you have nowhere to go. Talking to a councillor at school is your best bet at getting help but they'll get your mum to keep you, not find you somewhere else to go.
