Question for you all:

I own a PC and a Wii. I do most of my serious gaming on the PC, and the Wii is mostly there for my wife and I to play together. We need a couple new games, but can't decide what to get. Here is what we tried so far.

Games We Liked:

Super Mario Galaxy
LEGO Batman (My wife's favorite)
LEGO Star Wars
Super Mario Kart
Endless Ocean (My wife likes it, I thought it was dull)
Resident Evil 4 (I like it, my wife not so much)

Games We Didn't Like So Much:

Zelda Twilight Princess (We both thought this was really overrated)
Super Smash Brothers (We just don't dig the fighting games)

Any suggestions? Any must-gets for the Wii?

Hm...I liked Twilight Princess, but to each their own.

Anyway, I say Meroid Prime 3, even though it's single player. Also, Okami is pretty good (although it's technically a port from the PS2)

Excite Truck, maybe? Not the deepest gameplay but it seemed pretty fun. I think you should also pick up the WarioWare game and maybe Raving Rabbids.

You really set yourself up for some perverted humor with that title and first few lines of writing.

Either way, look into getting Super Paper Mario, Harvest Moon or Rune Factory Frontier (both farming sims, the latter one having dungeons and monsters, both very slow-paced), and maybe DeBlob in concern of your wife, and Metroid Prime 3, Ghost Squad, and Deadly Creatures for yourself. If you want to go very violent and/or offensive, you could try out Madworld and No More Heroes.

Edit - One Piece: Unlimited Adventure is another that should be on the list for the both of you. I believe it's single-player, but there is an optional VS fighting mode on the side of the actual game. It's based off of an anime, yet you don't have to know the characters or plot to enjoy it. Very well-made.

I definitely recommend DeBlob, I spent hours playing that with my brother and sister.

Mario party 8 isn't that bad. I guess the best way to describe it is, "It's a mario party game."

I would recommend No More Heroes, but that is violent and single player. So you would like it, but your wife likely wouldn't. Though there are some pretty awesome mini-games she might enjoy. She can earn fight money for you and then you can do all of the violent things. Works out perfectly.

There are also a lot of old nintendo games in the Wii Shop. If you didn't like Twilight Princess you can download Wind Waker or Ocarina of Time. Neither of those two are quite as dark, violent, or pretentious as Twilight Princess.

Another one I forgot to bring up in my initial post is Zack and Wiki. That is a nice game you both will probably like.

Ah yea I forgot about that one--we actually did have it for awhile. My wife went though it pretty fast and we sold it for something else.

Mario Galaxy is a fantastic game, but not one terribly good for multi-player (Unless you or your wife REALLY likes shooting starts at things.)

That's all good. If you liked Zack and Wiki, then you will like Rayman Raving Rabbids or OnePiece: Unlimited Adventure. The first you will probably also sell off after beating, the second you will end up keeping longer (to get everything). I may as well mention this now: The One Piece game is very hard to find in stores due to its underground popularity and cut-off on production. Your best bet is to get it off of Amazon, if you buy the game at all. There is a sequel to it coming out at the end of this year or in 2010.

I sense a cheap joke... XD
I liked MArio Kart Wii, but I think that's just because I liked the game before...
I don't just getting Wii Fit, great for the body but mixed messages on the waist line.

Well we looked up a bunch of your suggestions, and my wife liked the look of deBlob, so I think we're going to try that one.

Meanwhile I'm going to keep playing Mass Effect and Oblivion on my PC. :)
