So my laptop just died and I need something that can handle gaming, Photoshop and some small editing. Also running windows.

I've only had a brief glimpse at pc's and I only have a couple days to get a new computer so unfortunately I need to get one boxed as I don't have the knowledge or time to build it from scratch.

Also a warrenty would be nice as I need to take it on an extended car trip.

This is what I was looking at.

Is it any good or is there better for a similar price. Max budget should be about $1800 AUS but less would be nice.

From the same site, I'd recommend buying the Asus M11AD [http://www.thegoodguys.com.au/buyonline/Asus_M11AD_Intel_Core_i5_Processor_Tower_M11AD-AU004S]. Little less expensive, good mid-range compoments, and the card reader on the front sounds good if you're the type to be doing a lot of things with editing and media.

I recommend that you also stash away some of the money left over to look into buying some other components for it in the future if you ever need to upgrade something like the RAM or HDD.

I'd second that ASUS thing if you can replace the 620 with something not pathetic like a 650/750/Radeon 7790.

I'll third the suggestion about the Asus. I had one for five years and it was able to play new games on five-year-old hardware after I upgraded only the RAM and the video card.

Sadly, the motherboard fell apart at the end. It didn't get fried or anything, some chips literally came off despite never moving the computer. So that might be a concern depending on how long you expect to have the computer before you buy an upgrade.
