Oblivion stops being fun at around level 25-30. New character time!
Legend of Mana stops being fun at the Mindas Ruins or whatever. It's got really annoying puzzles. And isn't very fun, period.
Saint's Row 2 stops being fun after a marathon session. Come back a week later and it's awesome again.
Bayonetta stops being fun at Alfheim Portals and/or Infinite Climax difficulty.
Vanquish stops being fun at Challenge Mode.

Final Fantasy 13. Having to kill a boss too tough for the party just to play in the game's only sandbox area.
The last 1/4th of Bioshock is really weak compared to the rest. Makes repeat playthroughs kind of a chore. Same with Resident Evil 4.
Final Fantasy IX completely loses track of itself somewhere in the 3rd disk. It gets better, but again, its hard to hold your interest about that point.
Red Dead Redemption: After the ending, the world just feels....empty. I can't really explain it, but without the overarching story I felt little drive to keep playing.
Most Tales games are WAY too long. Its great the first time through, but going through again is just tedious.
Planescape: Torment: The combat is terrible. Not an issue when you are going through the first time and enthralled by the story, but once you've beaten it and are just trying to get to your favorite parts it becomes a chore.

I loathed with a passion the bits in Twilight Princess where you're in the sacred grove with no map trying to hunt down that obnoxious kid who can infinitely spawn those puppet-monsters. At one point my save-game was accidentally wiped about 2/3rds of the way through, and one of my first reactions was 'Oh Christ, I'll have to do the Sacred Grove parts all over again."

RDR - When I killed Herbert Moon in a duel (caught me cheating), then ten seconds later he walks out of his store and stared down at his own dead body. THEN I walked back in to play cards and he's sitting at the table.

Very true, but I found them interesting enough on my first playthrough that it helped me feel like I was part of the story and the setting. The Undead Nightmare random events were far more entertaining.imahobbit4062 said:

I agree with both of these. Especially Tales of the Abyss. Great game, but getting through it again is just a chore, even with New Game +.Ordinaryundone said:

When I realized that in DJ Hero 2, you can play against people that are on a different difficulty than you.
Which is good, in theory, but think about Star Battles or Checkpoint Battles. The person on the lower difficulty will ALWAYS win, because they have less notes to hit, almost no chance to make a mistake on a scratch, and can easily get 100% on almost every section. All while people on Expert are frantically scratching exactly to the song, tapping insane rhythms, and missing many, many notes. Then ending up losing time and time again.

Flaws in enemy AI that lets you beat bosses easily. Sure you can [not exploit] it, but if the boss makes you frustrated, you can give in to temptation easily.
Resident Evil. I know a lot of people are for the change in RE4 with the fighting system (which I do agree, was amazing) but turning away from zombie's to plagus... not my fav. It turned from a survival horror to an action genre. /sigh Guess it sells though.
