I'm looking for one, but I can't find any! Now I have a theory, if there are nerdy girls out there, then chances are they will be like me, i.e. reclusive, shy around new people, blah blah, so it is unlikely that they will be going to clubs, etc.

My question is, where are you? They are certainly a rare breed on campus, at least in my opinion. I'm getting tired of every girl I see being a blonde-haired, ugg-booted ra. Do I just have to hold out and hope that I stumble across one? Tell me where you are, and I shall come to you!

I laughed at this. Hard.

They're there, just don't look and you'll find them.

I'd start out on the computer labs and libraries. Just a thought from somebody who's not a girl.

You must go to a popular nerd gathering area and wait in an area that doesn't smell of cheetos.
They will come, but only the clean shall be seen.

"Just don't look", interesting...
Just continue living in your fantasy world then. I'm just kidding.

If you like someone for their personality/character/etc, then you shouldn't care about how she looks. All you need to do is man up and start talking to a girl. And as Bruiser said, go check out libraries and computer labs. There has to be a smart, good looking girl there. What's it going to cost you? Some books? At least you can read up on some books you're interested in. It's a win-win situation.

does anybody else think this is starting to seem like an animal documentary

"the natural habitat of this rare creature is as yet unkown, though it is not surprising as the "nerd bird" is generally a shy and reclusive animal..... look over there in the bushes!!"

i doubt your gonna get many positive replies dude :p

You don't think I've tried that? Seriously, it's like they have their own secret underground bunker where they meet up to discuss video games and watch 'Freeman's Mind'.

Try the internet, they're here, somewhere...
Sure they're on the internets, but what are the chances of one being in my city, at my uni, living in the area...

I refuse to believe that statement. And I got pics to prove the fact that I refuse to believe that statement!

Hopefully, I guess this is just a case of waiting and seeing and stumbling. And to the other person, it's not like I need to 'man up' and talk to girls, I don't find that too difficult, it's being fed up with the only topic of conversation being their new flat/shoes/some shitty band they like, ahh I guess I'm just frustrated at the moment seeing as I don't seem to find many girls with common interests...

Well if you call us "Nerd Birds" we might be hiding from your ilk.

The "gangstas" sure are fun people. I like the way they just can't help pointing out that everyone is a little bit gay inside.

But yeah, dude, my advice would be not to look at all. Nerd girls tend to pop up unexpectedly.

Firstly, good choice of avatar. There's very few of us currently sporting the Disney/Pixar characters....

Secondly, girls get a lot of pressure to fit in. And whilst yes, a nerdy girl is less likely to be blonde hair and ugg-boots, some may do that to fit in. So go and talk to girls, rather than judging them purely on appearance like the rest of the world does.
