Nerdcore Rappers

My favorite is MC Frontalot, but I also like MC Lars, MC Chris, Del Tha Funkee Homosapian, and Jesse Dangerously.

Is Del nerdcore?

He's alternative hip-hop, sorry.

He's one of the few rap artists outside of the nerdcore sub-genre that I lisen to, so I usually associate him with nerdcore by mistake.

I think MC Frontalot is a tad overrated, he has good lyrical ideas but average beats and although he's very skilled on the mic I find his flow a bit annoying to actually listen to. I reckon Zealous1 is the best nerdcore rapper by far, he definitely has the best rhyming skills of all of them, and he's definitely the only one in the genre who's got decent beats that can compete with the likes of Primo, Havoc in his prime, etc.

And there's nothing alternative about Del, he had huge hits in the 90s and was/is very mainstream.

I enjoy most of Front's songs, but your opinion about his flow is completely correct. I always found his style a little strange, but it intrigues me enough that I keep listening to his songs.

Yeah by no means is Frontalot bad or anything, I just don't think he's as good as his reputation warrants. If I were to introduce someone who wasn't aware of Nerdcore to the style as a whole, I'd probably pick Zealous1's "Level Up" before I'd play them anything Frontalot has done.

G Runna, that's Rap that I listen too but he is also accused of being a noob and a 'wigger' (he's actually latino but anyway) but I think that's a good example.
Besides he's a friend of mine.

What's wrong with rap? Or nerds? Also, it's not called nerd"core" because it has something hard core about it. It's called nerdcore because it's rap centered around nerdy subjects.
