Chaotic Neutral.
It gives me the freedom to do pretty much anything that I feel like.

EDIT - Having said that, I probably end up being more Chatoic Good on most playthroughs.

I'm lawful neutral. I operate on common sense and logic, as opposed to the chaotic neutral "free spirit" who opposes the status quo for no reason at all.

Neutral Good. I lean more towards the Lawful edge as I try to follow rules/laws when applicable, but I'd so overall more Neutral since I don't just blindly obey. I'll question a rule or law if I think it's stupid, or if bending or breaking it will do more good than strictly following it.

Too many people seem to not understand how this system works.

The first is approach to laws and rules. That's not something that change depending on mood. It's whether or not you accept laws as applying to you. If you are "chaotic" then you will not EVER stop at a red light on an empty street. You will not hesitate to steal from stores whenever the heck you feel like it. You will commit to insurance-fraud in the blink of an eye.

If you follow the rules and laws most of the time but have a "flexible" approach to it then you're neutral. That's the very definition of neutral in that category.

The second one is easier; that's simply personal morals. Self-sacrificing or ego-centric with "neutral" marking a rough balance between those two.

The whole "lol im chaotic/good because that sounds so edgy and rebellious yet sympathetic" is just sad. I'm willing to bet a major internal organ that nearly none of the people that have written "chaotic/good" have ever actually committed a felony. Which you'd have to have done to make "chaotic" even remotely correct.

Edit: Color me Chaotic/good

And no, if you'd commit a felony "under the right circumstances and for the right reasons" then you're not chaotic; you're neutral. Cut out the posing.
I think it is more of a combination thing. Where Lawfull means that the law means a great deal to you and chaotic means the law means little to nothing for you. Neutral being the middle ground. when I stop for a red light this is not because this is the law, but because i would rather not kill anyone or be fined. But if there is no-one there ( lets say sunday morning 4:00 am a red light wont stop me. this is where the good or evil part comes in. some who is evil wont mind killing a few people so will never stop at a red light.

also when it comes to paying my fines, i'm afraid a do that to. Not because it is the law but because they got an army and I don't. what I'm saying is Chaotic isn't the same as stupid nor is it the same as doing the complete opposite of the law for that way you are still bound by it. being chaotic means that the law does not effect your decisions making but other peoples opinions might.

Chaotic neutral. I hate rules and restrictions, and I'm not about to sacrifice myself for some random stranger. The good and evil axes are really only for fictional characters. Very few people are actually like that.

I always tend to create chaotic neutral D&D characters. Ya gotta do what you gotta do reguardless of the situation.

All the online tests I've taken told me True Neutral, mainly because I don't self sacrifice on behalf of strangers. I'd like to me more good but I have too many of my own problems for self actualization. I will give things up for friends though.

According to this alignment quiz [http://easydamus.com/alignmenttest.html] I'm lawful neutral.
I thought I was Neutral good but at the end of this test I got Lawful Neutral.

Lawful Good

I obey rules generally (Unless they are blatantly illegal or unfair) and I try to help people

My score is 93/87, which makes me Lawful Good with Lawful Neutral sympathies.

I utterly detest Chaotic Neutral and Chaotic Evil

EDIT
And yet, despite being Lawful Good, I politically identify as a bit of a Libertarian. That just feels incongruous

I think most people are neutral good in most situations. The question is what happens in situations like war or a struggle for survival. I think if thinks becomes progressively worse my alignment would probably go something like Neutral Good -> Lawful Neutral -> Chaotic Neutral -> Neutral Evil.

Well, according to some D&D alignment tests I am Chaotic Evil, and according to others I am True Neutral, so let's split the difference and say Neutral with strong Chaotic Evil tendencies.

I'll make an attempt at compromise but if push comes to shove I'll kick your teeth in. : )

I'm a charming sociopath, though.

According to the WotC Alignment test I am Lawful Good

A lawful good character acts as a good person is expected or required to act. She combines a commitment to oppose evil with the discipline to fight relentlessly. She tells the truth, keeps her word, helps those in need, and speaks out against injustice. A lawful good character hates to see the guilty go unpunished. Lawful good is the best alignment you can be because it combines honor and compassion.

Neutral Good. I respect the LG guys, I do, but sometimes you gotta bend a few rules to save lives.

I've always been Chaotic Good. All of my characters have been the same as well.
I'm a nice guy and I'll readily help someone in need, but I'm not too concerned with a dogmatic code.

Just tried that alignment test. Came up as Neutral Good. Though the breakdown puts me pretty close to Lawful Good as well.

Alignment:
Lawful Good ----- XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX (25)
Neutral Good ---- XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX (27)
Chaotic Good ---- XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX (15)
Lawful Neutral -- XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX (24)
True Neutral ---- XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX (26)
Chaotic Neutral - XXXXXXXXXXXXXX (14)
Lawful Evil ----- XXXXXXXXXXX (11)
Neutral Evil ---- XXXXXXXXXXXXX (13)
Chaotic Evil ---- X (1)

Law & Chaos:
Law ----- XXXXXXXXXXX (11)
Neutral - XXXXXXXXXXXXX (13)
Chaos --- X (1)

Good & Evil:
Good ---- XXXXXXXXXXXXXX (14)
Neutral - XXXXXXXXXXXXX (13)
Evil ---- (0)

Either Neutral Good or Lawful Evil, depending on how you interpret my personal view on laws and rules.

I know that sounds kinda weird combo, but it actually makes sense for my part. On one hand try to I act after my moral compass and I'm not blind to the fact that certain laws and rules around are fucking retarded, but I'd also dare say that I'm pretty selfish when it all comes down to it, and there are a lot of rules I only follow out of fear of the consequences it'd have for me and people who care about me.

I'm going to let someone else answer what this would be.
