None really. Yes I do got secret that I don't want them to found out but those secret are not "nerdy".
They already know my Pokemon obsession when I was a kid, I RP in this forum and I even told them I'm into MLP:FiM (a huge relief since they weren't judgemental).

I'm pretty open about my love for all things Adventure Time and I have a Kingdom Hearts T-shirt, hat and scarf so I don't have much shame.

The one thing I do try to avoid is confessing that I still use Internet Explorer. That gets me horrible looks from everyone.

My friends all hate Anime, (Dunno why, they just do.) I love it though, so I have to be very careful as to never let them see my phone (Crunchyroll App) or my PC's history (ANIME EVERYWHERE).
I keep my phone away from friends etc. I do not want or feel the need to explain the random catgirl wallpaper nor the 2 catboys (the zero fighters from loveless) that is on it.

I have lego trainsets in the basement i would love to play with them though i lack space (also lack a trainstation but too expensive to buy one atm)

I collect art glass, especially cool, colourful stuff from the 1960s and 1970s. I don't mind mentioning that.

I like SF / fantasy and read a lot. I don't mind mentioning that.

Somehow though I can't seem to mention my manga collection to my work colleagues, though...

At my previous work some co-workers knew. Read some when i was on my break and alone in the staffroom. At first most thought it probably along the lines of pokemon (at least better then the sex and violence stereotype). My boss who walked into the staffroom once asked what it was so i handed it. Later i found out he just barely missed a very white-out censored yaoi scene that I did not know contained. (It was Yami no matsuei rated T+ not a rating you expect sex to be in, kissing yeah but sex >.< )

I pretty much have two sets of friends: The ones that think I'm cool, and the ones that know I'm not cool, but accept me anyway. I talk with the latter about everything from videogames to sci-fi movies to My Little Pony to Magic cards. I talk with the former about girls and sports.

And yes, I prefer the second group most days. :)

I to hide my love for MLP:FiM from my friends. They already poke fun at me for other nerdy things more than enough, I do not need to constantly hear about this aswell.

I think the nerdiest thing I've done was finishing my job-sponsored programming training course (in a database scripting language) in half the allotted time, then spending the rest of it making a roguelike. Finished it in a week, too.

I tell people about that, though. Along with my other interests. To the point that I just make random Doctor Who jokes in public to see who gets it.

Same here buddy, any time I mentioned I like wrestling to people I'd always get the whole "OMG it's totally fake, get a life" etc. so I just don't talk about it anymore.

This thread is forever lulz.

The number of MLP:FiM responses is fantastic.

I'll say FiM would probably be mine too. If someone finds out, I don't really care, but I don't go pointing it out either.
My friend walked into my room the other day and I had left my FiM folder open and on my wall (12' projected screen) and he was like "Dude, what the hell? Are you really THIS out of stuff to watch?" I just said "Nope. This is what happens when you spend too much time on The Escapist. Curiosity eventually gets you. Show's pretty awesome." and he shrugged and that was the end of that.

I'm not especially geeky in a single area, so I get away with seeming very normal, but I have kinda the whole spectrum of geeky interests. A Jack Of All Trades geek, if you will.
Most people who know me quickly figure this out.

I know how to play Magic The Gathering (tho I myself own no cards), I play D&D (and own nearly all the 3rd edition books), I paint Warhammer 40k minis, play 40k and own nearly all the 3rd-5th edition books (hell, I'm Internet Famous among the online Space Marine community), I have more Steam games and PS3 games than I have time to play, I have an action figure collection (albeit a very small one), I collect TV shows, I collect music, I collect books, and I regularly rewatch old Saturday morning cartoons(I watched all of Justice League and Batman Beyond a month or two ago, just finished Spectacular Spider-Man, currently on Young Justice, about to rewatch Spider-Man TAS).

I have no urge to hide any of this.
And to anyone who thinks I SHOULD have the urge to hide any of that - when I close my eyes to go to sleep at night, the last thing I see is the hottest girl I know laying next to me. ...So contrary opinions are meaningless to me.
Life is chaotic, but life is good. Very good.
what kind of action figures do you have?

I have a whole bunch of gaming ones, I supose you could call it a collection, though to be honest I dont really do any hardcore "collectors" stuff..I actually take them out of the boxes :p

if I got shepard then I would own the whole series od "ME2" figurines..however Im not sure as shepard is female to me...(I probably will..mabye I could stick a little red wig on him :p)
Just random stuff. I don't care to keep them in their boxes either. They're all lined up on a shelf along my ceiling above my window.
Basically I collect figures that look "right". Ones that get the character sculpt dead perfect, ones that are badass, etc.
I've got Goku and a Piccolo my dad found one day, a Spider-Carnage, a Spider-Man from Spider-Man 2 (best Spider-Man figure ever. Has like 50 joints on a 6" Spider-Man), Marvel Legends Icons Doctor Doom, Silver Centurion Iron Man from Iron Man 2, some Gundams from Gundam Wing, Megaman X in his gold Hyper Armor from Megaman X3, a Chewbacca statue, a samurau statue, a black knight statue....Kratos in his God Armor with the Sword Of Olympus and Blades Of Athena, an Armored Core from Armored Core 3.....I forget what else.

How much I spend on comic books is the only thing I can think of, but I'm still not as bad as some of my friends on that front. I guess it depends on which of my friends I'm talking to. I'm turning into a bit of a fitness nerd (it's possible, there can be a lot of science behind fitness) which I can't talk about with some of my friends but can have enthusiastic conversations with others.

Here's a strange one: I have these old motorcycle goggles from my dad. In general I couldn't care less about looking stylish, but I'd still LOVE to wear them in public. They're just that awesome.
But it's kind of an unusual and very noticable accessory so it attracts way too many strange looks. I'd probably even have to take them off in class. People also seem to think it's an anime thing. (not that there's anything wrong with anime but it's not like that ever stopped "them" from being judgemental pricks) So now they're just sitting on my desk :(
Kinda funny how a society so obsessed with appearances just cannot stomach "Because I think they're neat."

If you want to know exactly what they look like, look up hwoarang from the tekken games, it's the exact same one.

Captcha: [mol/L] Is that just an amazing coincidence or does captcha know chemistry? It's even scarier because I've been using that unit a LOT lately.

My nerdy guilty secret, I am a Brony (Adult male My Little Pony fan), and I am proud to be one.

My +200 collection of Yu-Gi-Oh! cards
SOLD all of my Yu Gi Oh cards for $15 to a co-workers teenage sister.

Not really a secret at all but my friends are often astounded by my knowledge of random nerdy trivia.
Ditto. Although sometimes my trivial knowledge extends into the arbitrary, like how a turtle can breathe through its asshole. Don't know how or why I know that, but you never know when it'll come in handy!

And am I the only person who knows a Brony IRL?
Nope, you are never the only one.

I have two friends who are Bronies... *sigh*

Hm... Now that I think about I do not know. Maybe that I dabble in hypnosis, NLP, PUA and the like to test it out. It is not that it is nerdy so much that think people will react negatively to it - especially PUA. I think part of it is concern of being manipulated and unwillingness to let people evolve beyond what understanding you have of them.

I watch My Little Pony as well, however that is not really an issue to me. I do not identify with the fan base much and I have worked out for myself why it is intelligent and enjoyable to watch even for adults. Therefore I have no problem with admitting it even if I do not get out of my way to let people know.

I play Runescape.

Not a particularly nerdy thing, a ton of people have played the game, but I started about 8 years ago and still play it sometimes today.

I've had a slew of accounts, but my main account that I use is level 112 with almost 1400 total level, and I've never purchased membership once.

Anyone who knows much about the game will understand that that represents hundreds (maybe even over a thousand) hours of gameplay.

I admit playing it to no one.

It's MLP: FiM, Pokemon, and Magic: The Gathering. I have different groups of friends who view me according to that group.
In other words: My MTG friends have no idea I used to play semi-pro hockey, and my hockey friends don't know that I like MLP, and fellow bronies are oblivious to my obsession with Pokemon Heart Gold.
It's a vicious circle.
