Battery powered watergun with clips? I had a pair of those 15-20 years ago. (God, has it been that long?)

The new nerf ones look a little sturdier (and I imagine the battery compartment is waterproofed - we used electrical tape for ours), but this is old school tech.

Still have fond memories of snorkeling under the dock, surfacing, spraying down the sunbathers until you were out of ammo, and then diving back to safety...

I don't know about you guys, but I think that thing is awesome.
You're damn right that thing is awesome. I haven't bought any Nerf guns, Super Soakers, etc, since the days of my childhood, and this may be the one to change my mind.

Wait... how would you actually distinguish "fully automatic fire" on a squirt gun from normal firing? It's not like you're shooting discrete objects, they fire a stream of water - sure, mechanically I suppose one could draw a parallel, but suggesting a squirt gun is "fully automatic" sounds every bit as strange as suggesting my garden hose is a fully automatic weapon of watery doom.

Basically I don't think automatic really works well in the context of water.
Cave Johnson here. This is a water gun. A chamber and a pump. Good enough for a Nerf gun.

Not an Aperture gun!

Gentlemen, I give you...Solid Water! The asbestos of tomorrow! Freezes at room temperature, adheres permanently to flesh. Safe. Aperture brand Solid Water will make every moment of your water fight fun for the whole family!

That's not solid water. That's corrosive acid. We sell that too.

Fire some repulsion gel.

You might not be able to make it out, but that's actually the Beretta logo on the grip as well. Apparently copyright laws didn't exist in the 80's either (I suppose it could have been licensed by Beretta).
Wow, this reminds me of the old battery operated water Uzis my brothers owned. Yes, they looked like actual Uzis. I think they even had some metal parts too, but I'm not sure. Used four AA batteries that you but in the back of it.

They had removal clips that you filled with water. They also were fully automatic. Hold down the trigger and they would shoot out short streams of water in rapid succession.

Yeah, they were dope water guns.

Um... I actually dislike the "real gun look" in NERF... I've actually admire NERF as a proud company that produces toy weapons, that are true to it's nature, reflected in it's form. I actually think this is a step backward, because other toy companies are always try to make their weapons "look real", but we all know when it comes to choice, we choose "NERF or nothing", because it's always a TOY BFG that packs more velocity, more water pressure, bigger load, or just insane size... it's a manly toy, with the emphasis on toy. now, it's just doing what other companies does, proclaiming to be "macho", but in-fact, it's a down size of it's power... 300ml load?

Battery... powered... watergun...
wat.
Cuz the fat kids now days can't be bothered to pump anymore and someone might get a hearth attack and then there would be lawsuits...

I guess the modern shooter gritty "realism" is now infecting other industries, atleast the guns still come with some color.

Got mine at Wal-mart for... About $21, after taxes. (I guess I lost my receipt already. Oh well.) I didn't imagine they would be so affordable, and extra clips are only $5 as well. I didn't find a scope when I went back to look for one just now.

No more air pumping the water pressure?! That was where skill, tactics, and planning came in! One had to wait to the optimal time to shoot his/her water gun so that the pressure would be there when one needed it most. And filling up one's gun was almost certain suicide but if one was extremely well-trained they could pull it off without causality. This takes the sport from the game and turns it into child's play. I for one will be keeping my hand-pumped, manual-filled trusty super-soaker. May the best gun win. :)

I actually really think this is cool.

Somewhere around my house is my old XP-105, I loved that thing it had a fin on it for crying out loud. But even better was the ability to put a round in the chamber that the old pump soakers let you do. I'd fill the tank then pump until it was fully charged take the tank off and refill it. I'd get at least 30% more water in the soaker that way. Not to mention if some one got smart and tried to get me well I was reloading I still could shoot with the tank off.

This is the kind of idea that seems so obvious and simple, you're surprised that no one thought of it before.
It's been done before. Both the CLIP and the AUTOMATIC

Another company also did one a while back but I can't think who it was.

EDIT: AAHHH ninjaed

I still say the older models were better, especially the "flamethrower" models, where you wear your water reservoir on your back and you had a lever action hand cannon. :p

Also had the bottle holders straps for the screw in bottle super soakers XD

But having clips are pretty neat. Now they need to sell a Bandoleer accessory to go with them clips :D
