Alright Escapists, you are my only hope, since majority of the internet sites and responses I found on ask yahoo are idiotic.
I will be visiting a friend in college next month, and also will be participating in a zombie tag match, so I wanted to mod my Nerf Maveric, but while taking it apart to do some cutting and painting, I forgot where to springs for for the triggering system. Can anyone help me? I have three springs that I have no idea where they go! even just a blue print diagram or a step by step of the whole process would be great. Thanks.

Why do you think we have blueprints? Better yet, why do you think that you have a better chance of getting blueprints here than anywhere a Google search could have taken you?

Funny you went for the most outrageous of all responses... -sigh- A question with that type of 'wording' means that I'm looking for any help, and answers found on the internet that state 'You put do the opposite of it dissembled" do not help me.
And the reasoning why I think I would have more of a chance here is for the fact that The Escapist is a social network (the only one I am a part of) and hopefully I could find one person that can help with my problem rather then blinding typing a phrase that could have 5,430-some matches over a search engine.

He probably was hoping that someone here might have encountered a similar situation and we are a bit nerdy and have some eclectic hobbies. Someone here might have drawn out a diagram.

At the very least we might have had some good ideas of where to look because searching Google without the right keywords can be fruitless.

I think it was a stab in the dark because he is desperate. No need to be rude to him!

Yep. You're boned. Particularly if you don't happen to know any fitters/engineers etc.

It's just too 'random'. I'd have a better chance of designing a nerf weapon that could actually hurt someone than telling you how to fix something I've never seen...

BTW; Reverse engineering. It's good stuff. Whenever you disassemble anything lay it out in logical, broken down working order. Keep a map of your actions. Then you can rebuild in original order... Sweet.

I say open the gun, place the springs onto the mechanism and then just hammer them till they don't spring out again..............................

... Wait, what? No, it's still a nerf gun... just that it can shoot farther and hit harder at closer distance. And yeah, a mental map would have been great xP

Just a piece of advice, use the quote button. It'll help your criticisms of others. And it's not as much being rude as it is being entirely unhelpful.
Seriously dude.... there's no need to be such a monumental douche about it. People like you are why I stopped posting on the Escapist for ages.

As for the OP: wish I could help. Incidentally, should you manage to fix it please let me know. Some friends and I are having a Nerf battle in our local park in a couple of weeks & having a harder hitting Maverick would be cool

Nice. I care. I really should turn my life around.

Really? I'm bored, on the internet, and can't help this guy. Other people, possibly can. In the meantime, I'll keep myself entertained.

People like you are why I stopped breathing for ages.

Eh, the traditional way to make one of those dangerous is to tamper with the ammunition, sticking sharp bits on the end.

...

My captcha is "theardia" followed by a picture of a flag. Or maybe some sort of alien glyph...triangle, inverted triangle, line line.

THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU VOTE FOR THE DEMOCRATS PEOPLE, I have to learn the language of bizarre aliens in the form of intelligent shades of the colour blue out of some stupid PC campaign. this never happened under Bush.

Yeah, but there are springs underneath the device that rotates the cylinder, and that is where my problem is... thanks for looking though

My advice, buy another one. Take new gun apart remembering where everything goes. Put both guns back together. Return new gun to store. Shoot zombies with old uberfied gun!
