When I tried to install windows 7 ultimate on my sisters netbook, things have gone a little awry. Due to netbooks not having a disc slot, I had to copy the contents of the installation disc onto my portable hard drive, and installed it through that. Everything went smoothly, until the installation had finished. After The installation was over, the system restarted, and the screen changed to "Setting up for the first time".

That was over 2 hours ago, and its still on that menu. I dont know much about operating systems, but im pretty sure it isnt supposed to take THAT long to update them. Does anyone know what is going on, and how we fix this? My sister is eager to use her netbook, and im slightly worried she might kill me for "breaking" it :<

Thanks for any hints or tips, last time i made a thread i couldnt thank everyone cuz of the amount of posts.

Edit: If it helps, it was Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit.

Edit: The notebook make is a HP
