Number of movies I've added to the DVD queue from the PSN client since it started: 1

Number of DVD titles I currently have on my plan: 0

Impact to me, in either DVD service or streaming service, by this move: ~0

It's nice to know that less bandwidth will be spent sending cover photos that don't represent actual available streaming content my way. Other than that, I don't see this as much of a tweak worth worrying about.

I'll be honest. Of the several dozen titles I've viewed on Netflix, I have only received two by mail. One was added by mistake (I clicked on the Add to DVD queue rather than the adjacent button that would simply play the film), the other (Scott Pilgrim vs. the World) was only available for delivery. In both cases the need to see the movie was fulfilled before I ever received the disk in the mail.

Still, my opinion of Netflix streaming is based around the fact that I now live in a part of the world where I have access to good high speed internet. My last city of residence had such things of course, but my own ISP capped bandwidth at 3 mb/s. My current service is ~ 100x faster and has made digital delivery a viable option all around. I always resented Steam as well, given that it could take the better part of a day to install a game when one's download progresses at a mere 265 k/s. Now that I can install a game in about half an hour, the service is actually quicker and more convenient than heading to a store across town.

On a related note, while I first used Netflix on my 360, I quickly found that it was simply more pleasant to use from my PC. And since my current living arrangements dictate that I use the same screen for both platforms, I really don't lose anything as a result.

I don't think i've added a disc to my queue outside of their website. I've maybe added some instant one via the PS3 but if I have, it's rare. All in all, this probably won't bother me as much as the extra dollar they started charging for the service.

I didn't know you COULD add from anywhere but their website.

I was worried. Now it turns out nothing has changed for me.
Same here.
Huge sigh of relief bust breathed.

So where were we able to add movies to our queue from?
