I've had Netflix for a little over a year now. Tis truely an awesome service. So much so that I have no desire for cable. Over the air channels are enough for my TV. However, I do miss the sports.

I have it on everything...I love it.

Why is the PS3 interface better than the PC interface, though? That baffles me...

Yes it is on my XBOX for Instant Streaming sometimes I do the order DVD thing. Its a nice service and they recently added An Anime Section.

To be honest I recently made a choice to cut my Cable off and have nothing but Internet and my Cable Bill went down 60 Bucks a month and just use Netflix.
That's exactly what I did.

I hardly ever watch cable, and when I did, I'd get busy doing something else in the middle of a show, and miss the ending or get lost. Plus the stupidity of todays commercials are killing my brain. I get most of my news from the web anyway.

Sure the selection sucks, but at $8Can a month it's a pretty good investment.

Close to never. We only use it to watch a movie, every once in a blue moon. It's not that much of a waste, since my grandma buys a year's membership for us each Christmas.

I don't have cable, but I also don't use Netflix. The service does sound appealing, but the licensing here in Canada means the programming selection we get is too limited to make it worth even the reduced cost.
it will prob improve as time goes on
I certainly hope so, but it sure isn't worth the cost now. :)

Heck yeah, I love Netflix! I use both the DVD and streaming services extensively. My mom even got one of those Roku things for the living room specifically so we could watch Netflix in there. We got it to replace regular cable television, and I have to say, I like Netflix much more than cable. There is always something on that I want to watch for once!

Now, back to watching Buffy...

I dig netflix. I almost want to get rid of cable too but I'll probably feel differently when the next season of Dexter comes around.

I got netflix through the ps3 and wii but I love having that instant view available to me when I'm traveling with my netbook. My list is full of a bunch of great stuff: Dexter, Dick Van Dyke Show, Big Lebowski, Tom Waits' Big Time (you can't even get that on dvd), Delicatessen (my favorite post apocalyptic movie), and a whole bunch of other stuff.

It's a great value if you're like me and remember renting (and for those American Psycho fans, returning) videotapes for $4 a pop.

Yep, I use it and absolutely love it. It's a lot cheaper than Blockbuster and actually seem to have a bigger selection than my local video stores. I use both the DVDs and streaming through the PS3.

My roommate got it and since you can have it to x many devices and its more then he cares, I get to piggy back his account. Its nice, I spend most of my time in my room anyways so having it to stream is nice. Unfortunately it pisses me off a bit too, how the fuck can I not stream Spaceballs? or only the 1st of the LoTR movies and not the others?

I watch Netflix more than I watch regular TV. I got the instant streaming app on my Nintendo Wii... I'm actually watching the first season of Invader Zim via instant watch while I type this.

Oh yes, I've had Netflix over a year now and definitely love it. I've been able to watch so many movies and TV shows that I had never heard of or otherwise would have never had a chance to see. I hate cable television and stopped watching it years ago. Netflix doesn't suffer from the problems that turned me off to TV and kept me from buying/renting movies. The only thing Netflix can't do is keep me current on House. That's the one hour a week I watch cable TV, when a new episode of House is on.

I don't own a TV and haven't owned one for the last three years. During that time period until a month ago I didn't watch any television what so ever. Now that I have instant streaming I can watch basically anything I like. I don't use the DVD program because they don't have a distribution center in Hawaii so it would take a week plus to send it to the main land and back, so I just pay the $9 monthly instant streaming. I'd like to see more anime on it, but, eh. I'm just happy to be able to watch River Monsters whenever I want.

I fucking love netflix, my only problem is they don't stream HBO shows, but that is more because of HBO than Netflix.

I just signed up, and I'm already sold. I'd been on Hulu Plus before, and the only thing they had going for them was that they had current episodes of current shows, whereas it seems Netflix only has what's been released on DVD.

I wasn't interested in the DVD part of the plan, just the Watch Instantly, but it seems their WI selection is missing way too much good stuff, so I may have to add on the DVD thing.

My question is: do they constantly update the "Watch Instantly" stuff, or are there things that will just never be available? Like, it's weird that some newer shows are on there, but older shows like MASH aren't, and it makes me feel like those older shows will just never be available on the WI.
