So I've built a new tower but for the past month I've been having issues with getting the wifi connection to work.

The motherboard came with a bluetooth wifi adapter and after installing the drivers, all I could get was google's home page. I couldn't even download add-ons for Firefox.

I then bought a wifi card which after installing, had the exact same problem.

The signal strength is fine, it's just the connection itself doesn't seem to work. I'm getting no errors from the devices either.

Motherboard: Asus Z87-PRO
Network Card: Asus PCE-N15
OS: Windows 7 (64-bit)

When you say that you can only get the Google home page, you mean that searches on the site don't work, right? When you open a browser, Google is just set to your homepage but you can't actually search for anything, is that correct?

Yes, anything that appears either won't load or loads without the formatting so it appears as a long list in Times New Roman.

Just an FYI, my network skills aren't the best, but I'm certain that others will join in and help out.

In the meantime, have you done anything (slightly) unusual, such as turning off DCHP?

Are you by any chance using Comodo as a firewall?

And finally, out of curiosity, can you access Google via IP address? Try: 74.125.224.72
