Anecdotal evidence is crap... It gives you a statistical group of exactly one. If I were a group you could conclude that all humans were 6.0 ft. tall white males with brown hair and green eyes. His claim also ignores all other possible explanations and jumps straight to conclusions. His experience may indeed have been genuine, but that doesn't mean he experienced the afterlife, and I say this as a Catholic, not an Atheist.
