Hello,
I was running Neverwinter Nights on my Vista computer and it worked just fine. It wasn't until I installed the Diamond Edition that it didn't work. Every time I click on the icon it tells me it isn't compatible. (wow, what a surprise...)

Has anybody else had this problem and fixed it? I am installing a patch right now to see if it would work, but I thought I'd check on here to see if anybody could help me further.

Thanks,
Cryofthewolf

Have you tried going into the shortcut properties and making it compatable for Windows XP.
If that doesn't work then you counld try making it run as admin

I've never played Neverwinter on Vista but according to the Bioware forums it works after the 1.68 critical rebuild update but might have some texture issues

It is a fantasy RPG based on rules from the Dungeons and Dragon game. You don't have to be a D&D player to enjoy the game. If you like American RPG's it is a great game to buy. It is made by Bioware, the company who made the K.O.T.O.R. Games, Mass Effect and the Baldur's Gate series.

I meant running the computer on admin.
Ok right click the shortcut or exe click on properties, click on the compatibility tab normally on the right side at the bottom it should say run this program as a administrator

Edit- If you lazy just right click and it pop up as one of the options

I picked up the PC GAMER edition of NWN, including 2 expansions, all on one dvd for £5.99, and apart from needing to contact Mastertronic for a new CD key, as mine was a misprint, all has installed well, and works fine. Can recommend that version to UK gamers at least, not sure if it would be available outside UK tho.

I hate to be a nitpicker, but as a Bioware fanatic I have to point out they only made KOTOR 1. Obsidian made that gaming abortion known as KOTOR 2.

Gaming abortion? I'm guessing you don't like the game?

By the way, was Jade Empire made by Bioware? I'm pretty sure it was. =-/

It was. The also made a bunch of strategy games too but no one cares about those.

I liked KOTOR II. You just have to make sure you play as a female lightside character. Then all the crazy shit happens like:
Darth Sion falling in love with you.
