Neverwinter online game not a rumor anymore!

Its pretty much official now. Cryptic has it on their homepage and then there is the official website as well.

Finally something multiplayer! Years too late but still...

Hats of for Cryptic who doesn't label their game as an MMO but instead Online Multiplayer Game (OMG!). Very interesting...even though I had been hoping for something in between an MMO and a CO-OP game but still...this can be it...!

Let's hope Cryptic can leave their mediocre mainstream titles behind them and astonish us with making something actually worthy of the name Neverwinter!

Also lets hope they look more to NWN1 than NWN2. I think they already are considering how they are talking about Bioware.

It is a bit disturbing they are mentioning games as role-models that has nothing to do with Neverwinter Nights but let's wait and see...

This could prove interesting.

I enjoyed NWN2 immensely, and the original to a slightly lesser extent, and a successor in the same vein is a welcome site.

I just hope they do make this a co-operative game instead of an MMO, as not only is the world now getting bloated with online rpg but the system and setting within the forgotten realms universe (as shown in NWN) are too familiar to gamers to be anything but one more fantay grind adventure.

What I would hope to see is more of a cross between say Guild wars' shared areas in which you interact with others (a meeting and mission hub if you will), and adventure RPGs such as Elder scrolls and Fable in which only an agreed party adventure (so as not to have the feeling that you are the 53rd party to perform this mission, please wait your turn).
