new 360 what to get

hi ive had a ps3 for a while and ive desided to get a 360 so i can play all its good exclusives and i could use a little help deciding what to get.
so far on my wishlist would be halo 3 left 4 dead and gears 2, but is it worth getting gears1?? could u also recommend any other games that are released.

EDIT:
please no sports, driving or fighting (tekken 1vs1 style) games
also im thinking about crackdown it is like a 2006 game do you think its still worth getting?

Just siv out the games yer not interested in. Also note, GoW1 got better grades than GoW2.

I know you can grab psychonaughts off it, orginal Halo, the old sonic games, castle crashers, Braid, Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved 2, N+, Worms 2: Armageddon etc etc etc heaps to pick from

saint's row 2 (if anyone so much as whimpers the phrase "gta ripoff, they'll feel my wrath)
oblivion goty edition (only for shivering isles, KOTN it shit)
left 4 dead (you'll need LIVE for it though, it's not that fun single player)
dead rising (you're stuck in a mall with zombies, just about everything is a weapon... just stay away from the sotry and you're fine)

anything else, ask an xbox player, i've got a ps3 myself

Don't get left 4 dead on 360, bad idea. Get the pc one, free DLC, mods etc. The 360 one has no redeeming feature (splitscreen doesn't even count since you can play splitscreen on a pc).

As to what to buy: Bioshock and Prey. Bioshock is one of the best games ever and Prey is quite good at a similar theme.

Guy buys 360 for exclusives, and asks if he should get the first of a series over the second? Does the word STORY have any meaning to you?

Gears of War 1 had no story so there's no worries there.

Cod 4,Gears 1 and 2,halo 3,mass effect,forza 2,fallout 3,l4d,dead rising,oblivion,gta 4,street fighter 4,batman AA,fifa 09 (i would wait for 10 to be honest),cod 5,fable 2,mirrors edge,resident evil 4 and assassins creed.

also i would try bioshock as i personally dont like it but its very popular.

So shift through them by what genres you like.

No there isn't. You learn bugger all about the whole world. You don't even know if it's set on earth or not, they simply point you at the locust, give you a name and say 'go for it'. You don't even seem to accomplish much by the end since the locust survive for a sequel. There's nothing, no motivation for the locust, no knowledge whether they're aliens or simply gone unnoticed the whole time, virtually no characterisation beyond stereotypes. There is no story to speak of, certainly not one that requires you to play the first to get the second.

Aren't a lot of those games you've mentioned on PC (I'm not a PC elitist nor do I even play on one) so there not technically exclusive.

OT; I own a 360 and the best game I've played on it is Bioshock and the Orange box (only for the single player half life/portal bits if you really want multiplayer you've got to play it on PC from what I gather since the 360 version gets no updates/mods same goes for Left 4 dead).

I quite enjoyed fable 2, the ending is terrible though, but the humour and customisation is cool. And Stephen Fry voices an immortal bisexual pirate with an amazing shot, not sure if there's many more boxes for that character to tick
