Hi, I've been out of the animation circle for a while now, been too busy with my degree, but in a month I'm finally gonna be certified (hell yeah!). So I would like to get some recommendations on whats good, now that I'm gonna have time to watch it, heres a list of stuff I liked and can actually recall the name:

- Fooly Cooly
- Neon Genesis Evangelion
- Cowboy bebop
- samurai jack
- Hellsing
- Rurouni Kenshin
- Haibane Renmei

Would appreciate any recommendation, thank you.

Well, if you're not intimated by 400 episodes and counting, you might like the humor/action of One Piece.

You can pretty much find all episodes subtitled on Youtube and it is being dubbed (and subtitled with original Japanese audio) by Funimation.

The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, Quite clever and interesting.

Oh, and it isn't in chronological order, so if you want to see it that way make sure to watch the episodes in this order:

2 3 5 10 13 14 4 7 6 8 1 12 11 9

Depends if you want to watch it how it was "meant" to be shown or how it makes sense story-wise. =P

See I watched that series backwards the first time (14->1) and i understood the story about as much and i would have in any other order XD.

Anyway I'd like to say to the OP - Great taste so far, try Ouran for something different without being shounen. I'd also venture into the land of OVAs and single films if i were you, plenty of good stuff there. Oh and i know its getting too popular now but Death note is worth a watch, it got its fame for a reason. Shame really you've already watched most of my favorites.

Oh and if you are going to watch something shounen I'd advise you to stick to one series, they can be fun but its the same type of fun across the board, watch too much and you'll only hate it all.

(shounen being things liike bleach and naruto, often power obsessed crap, consider it the action film of a film collection - next to the others it isnt good in the same light, but would a collection be complete without one?)

Take it back to the old school: Robotech. Yeah.
hehe, that take me back, I used to watch that show when I was a kid, it was on some weird Lebanon channel, didn't see anything like it, I loved it. I can still remember some of it from the top of my head.

Also naruto, and quickly thundering to a similar level, bleach.

07 Ghosts is also quite a nice one that dattebayo has recent started subbing ever since they were twats and dropped naruto.

If you have any taste at all then don't watch Naruto.

Gurren Lagann might be good for you since you seem to like actiony stuff. Rather than just stop at one guess I'll give you a giant list of series that are generally considered good. Feel free to ask about anything that looks interesting and I'll tell you more if I've seen it.
