Changing my avatar doesn't make me post differently, could be because they're all quite similar.

Well, after my trippy avatar v1.2 went online I decided to start a user group and see if I could become famous on the escapist. Failing miserably so far. Maybe I should start a posting gimmick...

Alternate Personality: Maybe if I killed some of the top escapists there would be a void, one that could be filled by me!!!

Shit, t'was a bad idea, this bastard'll get me banned. *Shoots self* Take that! *Shoots again* He's weakening!
Oi posting gimmicks are my thing, spots taken!

OT: My ecapist avatar is just me with my bass, and a sword.

Changed my avatar to an animated one today (yay, first time creating a GIF!).
After I created my first GIF, I didn't really share the enthusiasm. The only thing I feel when I look at my avatar is a sense of sadness at time wasted.

I guess we have to make sacrafices for
however.

And besides. Wubba wubba wubba! Wubba wubba wubba!

Well for a while I had
And I liked it, but then I saw someone with a very similar avatar and I couldn't tolerate that.
Which looks decent full-size but is rather hard to distinguish as avatar size. Not knowing what else to do I tolerated it. Until this thread [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/9.109262-Poll-Most-Threatening-Parasite?page=1] showed me
But alas! it was not animated when I tried to upload it as an avatar. So back to the Elite.

Then one day I was looking through Halopedia to kill time and was reading about Offensive Bias, it's symbol is now my avatar and I am quite pleased with it. It makes me feel very unique on these forums.

I thought your gimmick was mentioning you play bass in every post...

Not in the slightest. It just confuses me because I tend to remember avatars, not names. So if and when an avatar is changed, I have to take a few minutes to look at the style of writing, and name to see if it rings any bells.

Overall, I don't think changing an avatar changes the writing style.

My original avatar was one of Ruroni Kenshin that I'd edited using a photoshop wannabe (all I did was remove some rain drops.) However it was at a Star Wars rping site where Avatars were conisdered a representation of your character. So everyone kept calling my character "carrot top" when they hated me, even though he looked nothing like Kenshin. Other then people using my name more correctly, I never really had much of a difference from one avi to the next.

*Double take*

Just saw your post count, cross referenced with your join date... You must be a power leveler among forum goers, my friend. That or a god.
I am no god or Forum Legend, just been in Forum Games a lot
Yeah. I tend to stay away from those, for fear I'll get laughed off due to my ridiculously low post count. >_>

Oh dear the ego of that post
It is an instant ego rub when people use the avatars I make them.

For a while I thought you weren't going to use it so I was getting my neck breaking skills ready.

Any suggestions/anyone want to have a go? Internet cookies for the one i like the most!
Change the background to the apocalypse.Give your self a mustache. And make the cup red.

OT:I often think that the avatar makes the poster.Or at least to some degree. Most notable is CatKid with his Calumon.

Well, back when I had my old Kitty Reaper avatar, I did feel more inclined to post more frequently. Although I started to slow down before I actually changed it, so maybe that was unrelated.

I might go back to that avatar for a while to test that idea...

Anyhow, thinking over it, yeah, I guess I feel different about posting with another avatar. With my current avatar, I feel like I can say... more or less what I want really. It seems rather bland, so I'm unlikely to be noticed.

Not me personally but when I look at other peoples avatars I kind of think the person is like that avatar, for example this one guy I know has General Grievous as his avatar and so I think he's a complete douche

Eh, my avatar never really had much of an effect of my posts. But I just figured something that looked slightly less like what I'm feeling on a daily basis would be tolerable.

I kinda want to see you have the kitty reaper, it was before my time, also I wish you would post more, I hardly ever see you

Ok then, I'll re-equip it soon I guess. Although frankly I'm amazed you recognize me at all, since my posts had slowed down an awful lot by the time you joined.

And the reason I don't post much is... uh... I don't really have a reason actually. I just don't feel like posting that much anymore. I guess I can make an effort to try and do it more often, but often I find I just don't care enough right now...
