It would seem black ops has yet another glitch....
While playing some combat training, I was using a chopper gunner on the AI. I blew up the cars on nuketown, killing 5 AI players from the explosions, and I gained a care package. It seems that killing using killstreaks to explode cars still counts towards your killstreak count. Can anyone confirm or deny this?

Not sure thats a "glitch", nor would I even bother considering this method to gain any other killstreaks since the likelihood of something like this happening is slim to none.

That would not actually surprise me, as I'm sure the game wouldn't tell whether a car explodes as a result of a shot with a killstreak.

Think about it, say you had thrown a grenade before using the CG, and when you're in the CG, the car (which has been burning already) explodes, killing 5 people around it, it'd be too unfair if it didn't give it to you.

I'd just assume that they didn't make it so that it doesn't count for killstreaks blowing stuff up.

It isn't a glitch, it is just the explosion from the car that does that damage and the game is designed that it just counts it as a regular kill, why bother to code it to recognize whether or not the car was blown up by a killstreak weapon or not. And yes it is confirmed, I've done it with an RC car and gotten a 3 kill streak.

I suppose so, its just the "you cant get kills from killstreaks" line, and I just got a care package from using a killstreak lol

Well I'm just surprised we just heard of this? Seeing how many centuries are spent playing it.

Yeah, I have heard alot about BO glitches and I've never heard of anything about that before, I would post it on treyarch's forums but their server seems to be down.

Um chopper gunner nuke town care package care, combat training, hmmm indeed I can comfirm that completely, I guess they think because it was the car that did the killing invoked by you it counts, usefulness not much

Yea, the car explosion will give you kills towards your kill streaks. Kinda glitched, but how many times does it actually happen in game? Not very often....but who knows? New strategy FTW?

No, it's not a glitch. It was the car bomb that killed them, and that counts towards killstreaks. Only killstreak kills do not add to killstreaks, but if you shoot something and cause that to blow up, that being what killed them, it doesn't count as a killstreak kill.
