Around 2 years ago. I got it for my birthday, but I needed to upgrade the graphics card.

My computer died in November after I had it for almost 9 years. I need one ASAP since I'm in college for network administration.

So, I ended up getting a HP Pavilion that turned out to be pretty good. I still need to get a new graphics card because it has a POS NVIDIA GeForce 7100.

Last July I got this Macbook I'm on right now. I actually want a desktop, but I need some more money before I can build one (plus I'm kind of waiting for Windows 7).

Got a Dell laptop for Christmas, year before last I think. It consistently infuriates me and I need something better to run games, so I'm going to build me a gaming desktop this summer, if I can figure out what I need. Which I can't. Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeelp!

The last major overhaul I did on my computer was in 2004. I've bought a new video card (Radeon 4850) and a more efficient PSU for it since then, but I'm still using a Socket 939 motherboard, 2GB of DDR400, and my mildly overclocked X2 4400+. :(

Once prices come down a bit and if I scrape enough money together, I'll update to the i7.

I got my laptop in January after my crappy desktop crapped out on me. It's an HP... something something. But it's black and silver and oh-so shiny. ^_^

If you ask me about the RAM or graphics card you will get this response:

*Laughs*

*Laughs some more*

I 'unno

I'm not very computer-savvy if you didn't get that already.

Mazel Tov! I just got an Asus G50vtx1 and an Asus EEE PC 1000HE for college. It's like an all-portable desktop/laptop config. The EEE's amazing, but it cannot game. At all.

The G50vtx1 is one hell of a bargain for $730. I can max just about anything except Crysis/Quake Wars, but the highest res it 1366/768.

And the 15/6" G50vtx1 is .2 inches too big for your laptop case.
