So here it is, Christopher Nolan's next masterpiece or epic flop. Hopefully the former, as this guy hasn't made a bad film. Here is the video:

So Escapists, what do you think? Bane going to surpass Joker? Batman going to live or die? Joseph Gordon Levitt going to be Robin? Post your thoughts below!

All I know is that the new trailer has given me a cinematic boner.

Also, Nolan has found a new favorite actor in Joseph Gordon-Levitt. And that's just awesome.

EDIT: Also, I just found out that Joseph Gordon-Levitt is Tommy Sullivan from 3rd Rock. How I missed that escapes me, but it gives me much joy.

Bane doing what Joker couldn't, kill The Batman? Somehow it would be quite a disappointment to have that happen.

The Joker never wanted to kill The Batman, just to make him suffer.

I think it is pretty obvious what will happen in this film: Bronson WILL Break the Bat!

EDIT: Also the broken voice when he gets very emotional! Very emotional indeed. Score one for Coogan, although I think Brydon does it better. Congratulations if you know what I'm talking about you are an escapist of taste and refinement. Now drink your goblet of Ray Winstone's sputum.

Pause the video at twelve seconds and look at the people holding the signs. doesn't the "R" look a lot like the Robin symbol?

Ha! I feel so special.

Over all, I wasn't all that impressed. I don't know why but I get the feeling that this movie will be a major letdown after The Dark Knight. I'm not saying that it won't be good, just that it won't live up to the expectations that people seem to have for it. I hope I'm wrong, and I hope that Bane breaks the Batman (in part because I hate Christian Bale's Batman), but I'm just waiting to be let down.

Still think Olivia Wilde would have been a better choice to play Catwoman.

Not Anne Devourer of Worlds Hathaway.

I still dont see the point in catwoman being in it. Riddler would have been epic.

Pales in comparison to "The Avengers" but I still want to see it.

Doubt I'll enjoy it as much as the last one.

I'm really hyped for it. Looks way better than The Avengers, but that may be because I don't care about The Avengers...

Different flavors, that's all.

I'm not looking forward to The Avengers either. I have a weird aversion to superheroes appearing in the same work. I always hated it when Iron Man or Blade showed up in Spider-Man: The Animated Series. I know they're supposed to exist in the same universe, but...I try to ignore that. So The Avengers just makes me cringe.

I'm looking forward to this. I haven't seen a single movie released this year and have generally lost faith and interest in Hollywood, but Nolan remains an exception.

I gotta say, I'm impressed with Hathaway. At the time I thought she would look to 'friendly' to effectively play Catwoman but I gotta say if this trailer is any indication she's nailed it. Sleek, sexy, playful and deadly are all present in the way she talks and moves. All things I associate with Catwoman.
I find myself wondering if it's going to be a bit like Batman Returns, where Catwoman was Batman's one part nemesis and one part love interest.

As far as everything else, well, holy shit it's cool.

I don't think this will top The Dark Knight simply because The Joker is one of the greatest villians EVAR! I do have a soft spot for the Riddler tho and fuck me if I'm wrong but doesn't Bane break Batman's back in the comic books? I'd love to see that carried over to film. Speaking of Bane he doesn't seem to be as big as I thought he'd be. He doesn't have to be Bane from Arkham Asylum big but I figured he was head or shoulders larger than Batman.

I really really hope Anne Hathaway doesn't have a large role in this movie.

Because this is the last movie in this specific Batman realm I really hope they show us at least glimpses of Nolan's take on some of Gotham's other villians; like Clayface, Killer Croc or even Poison Ivy.

And here's hoping that football player who didn't fall into the field is Robin.

You mean MANne Hathaway? She's a beast...

OT: Could be just me, but this movie looks extremely disappointing. Bane looks like some sort of Industrial club reject from the late 90's Seattle club scene, and Catwoman is just...ugh.

I sincerely hope that I'm proven wrong (as I was prior to Dark Knight when I thought Heath Ledger was a terrible choice for Joker, only to see the trailer and be amazed) but this looks like utter crap.

I can not wait for this! I don't think Bane will kill Batman because Nolan's said that he's making his own Batman with these movies and not really following the comic books. I do think that Batman will die though and that this new guy (I can never remember his name) will become the new Batman like Cracked said. It probably won't be better than The Dark Knight because that movie was almost perfect IMO but I'm hoping it will be at least as good.
