New Devil May Cry announced

You thought he was ruggedly handsome too? The way his stubble was bla-I mean, uh, ya. What happened?

How could anyone not think he was ruggedly handsome! Like you said, the stubble, chiseled jawline, playful yet deadly attitude. =D

THAT IS NOT FUCKING DANTE!! THAT IS AN IMPOSTER!! seriously what the fuck has Capcom done?! the face looks nothing like Dante's, he's too thin, his voice isn't right and since when the fuck does Dante smoke? well done Capcom you have just given the Devil May Cry fans the biggest "fuck you" you possibly could by letting a different developer get near the DMC series . Yes if you couldn't tell i am pissed off about what they are doing.

Seriously the series does not need a reboot! Why can't they just make another one with Dante and Nero again seeing as at the end of DMC4 Nero asks Dante if he'll see him again and Dante just waves as if to say "see ya later" as if giving us a hint that Nero would be in the next one again. But no instead they completely reboot the series and make Dante look like an emo 16 year old.

Also what's the point in rebooting the series if there is still so much stuff unanswered like practically everything about Nero. You can't just jam a new character in a game and let us know almost nothing about him. There's still so much unanswered story from 4 to go off of! Who is Nero really? How did he gain his arm? Is he housing the soul of Dante's brother Virgil and that's why he managed to resurrect Yamato? Will Dante have to fight him again, or can they be a team against the demons? Isn't there enough there to at least start to continue the story with?

I was waiting and waiting for a new DMC to be announced and it has been and i was like YAY!! now i don't even want to know it exists.

They already explained that Nero was one of Dante's brothers, his right arm changed when he was younger. Nero says this during the cutscene where he activates his devil trigger. I still would have liked them to make Nero his own person that dressed and behaved differently from Dante. To me it felt like the team responsible for DMC4 was terrified hence Nero being as close to Dante as possible. I did feel like they had run out of ideas with DMC4, the Exceed system was pathetic and the Devil Bringer had to be one of the most underutilized mechanics I have ever had to deal with in a game. Dante's weapons were a case of been there and done that for the most part and the two new weapons were not all that interesting to use.

As someone who has been playing DMC since the first game I had to wonder how they were expecting to sell DMC5 in a world populated by the likes of Ninja Gaiden, God of War, and Bayonetta if they just kept doing what they have been doing since DMC 1 and 3. Someone made the point that DMC4 sold something like 2.5 million copies but that only sounds good when you ignore the fact that this game was released on three platforms. I think a reboot is justified just not this particular character design. Though I think everyone should be more concerned about the combat in this game.

Well, at least he's smoking, that gives him some cool points. Still, nothing can justify the fact that he looks like
