This is brilliant, they should make a special version of the Hobbit where this Dinosaur jumps out and fights Smaug.

Considering Sauron was most likely planning on recruiting Smaug, this is highly unlikely. This is the whole reason for the adventure. Gandalf wants Smaug dead before Sauron can use him. Besides, Smaug would wipe the floor with any dinosaur.
