Pssh, it isn't David Tenant... The sexiest Doctor ever. Unfortunately Root, my dear, I never REALLY got into Dr. Who :(

I've never seen Doctor Who.

And knowing that you're a fan, can you give me a run down of what kind of show it is?

EDIT: Thanks everyone!

The new trailer makes me foam and that mouth out of anger and lapses me into a seizure.
What the hell is that music, and why is he fighting the stone angel demons?!

The original one is awesome. I loved the bit where he's going at a Dalek with a sledgehammer.

And besides, it had the Doc firing a pistol. I have to see it now!

The second one... was weird. I'm guessing that the Weeping Angels are coming back though, so that's going to be pretty cool.

It's the awesome kind..
Can't wait for new series, I hope this Matt guy isn't as annoying as he seems in these trailers

EDIT: Fantastic! and Allons-y! were fine and I liked them, but I will never get used to the Doctor saying Geronimo

Campy British guy travels through time and space, attracting the lady types and generally being awesome.

That's pretty much the broad concept, but the Whoniverse is much bigger.

A guy travels through time and space in a machine called the TARDIS. He is the last of his kind (sort of) and it is pretty much his job to travel through time and have explorations, occasionally "fixing" some hiccups in the history of time. He often travels with a female companion who aids him on his journey. It really reminds me of Stargate SG1 and the whole each episode can somewhat stand on its own but occasionally ties into a larger plot. Specifically like how SG1 met a new culture or race on each planet and had a little thing to deal with the same is with Doctor Who. The Doctor reaches a new time, something happens, he corrects it in some way and he moves on to a new time and place.

Well what was the point of introducing new aliens if they aren't gonna use them again.

I wonder how they'll introduce the Daleks back
after they were all killed, again

I'm not really sure what to think about this new trailer. There isn't much to inferr from this trailer that wasn't implied from the old one, apart from a preview of the new assisstant.

I like the return of Moffat's classic Weeping Angels. As a way of genuinely frightening people they were an amazingly effective species in Blink, and I look forward to seeing them show up again in Moffat's first series as head writer.

I'm looking forward to this new Doctor, Matt Smith. It'll be interesting to see what he brings to the table, but he does have a lot of pressure to perform. People well and truly loved David Tenant as the Doctor, anyone to have to follow up to him would have a lot of hatred after the first five minutes, in comparison with Mr. Tenant's three years.

Will he perform as well as I hope and others expect him to? Dunno; guess we'll have to wait until Easter to find out.

Uh...tough one.

It's basically the story of a renegade TimeLord running through time investigating strange things while battling evil.

To pick little slices of shows:

He's had to save a young lady from a set of Quantum Assassins that can move anytime you're not looking at them at lightning speed...by video tape.
He's took on a reality TV show where the contestants are being used to fuel an alien takeover of Earth.
He's had to stop a mad alien from undoing the explosion that caused life on Earth to occur.
He's had to stop Madame De Pompadour from being captured by Clockwork Robits from the Future.
He's had to stop a small child with a gasmask during Wartime London who was infecting everyone he touched with a zombifying weapon that made them into clones of himself.
He's fought off a set of living shadows in the Universe's greatest library.

And it's been running now for 34 seasons over 756 episodes, 11(13) Doctors and 47 years, on and off.

There's been possibly every genre you can think of involved, and while there has been some naff episodes, they're always great TV.

Trying to sum it up, even briefly, is almost impossible, but I think if you start off with Blink, you'll get a good feel for it.

Wasn't that Madame de Pompadour?
Also, am I going totally flip-noggin twitters-and-shakes mad or is that a Silurian at the end of the trailer?

You're right. Dammit, sorry, I'm reading quite a few things at once and that jumped over; but yeah, it does look Silurian...

I take it this isn't a clip from the actual show. I'm looking forward to it and we shall see how Matt Smith does.

Uggggh.

I loved Tenant as the Doctor. This new guy is just...well, ugly. I didn't much like the look of that trailer. Or his style of Doctor that you could discern from it.
