[HEADING=1]------------------------New Dreamcast game announced?----------------------[/HEADING]
"Rush Rush Rally Racing"?
Yeah...don't have a great deal to say here. 09/09/09, the 10th birthday of the infamous and arguably the most popular SEGA console, the Dreamcast. What fans tirelessly anticipated to be the date of the unveiling of SEGA's new successor console to "get them back in the game" SEGA denied this rumour tooth and nail, unfortunately (but hey, the day has barely started, and there's still hope?)

But what nobody, and I mean nobody expected...was a new title being released for the Sega Dreamcast. In what seems like a completely absurd move, indie developer Senile Games is releasing Rush Rush Rally Racing, a top-down four player racing game in the same vein as micro machines, with a retro-revival esque look and feel to it that is...well probably the best idea at this point. With online high scores and varying difficulties, it seems worthy of a $22 price tag, no?

So...New 2D Sonic game, and new Dreamcast game? I think that's enough madness for one day, thank you. Rush Rush Rally Racing is scheduled for an October 09 release.

I's funny how they keep making games for it. They slowly trickle out like some sort of overly thick maple syrup.

please sega, the dreamcast is a thing of the past, create them for the ps3 or 360 instead, just avoid the horror that is the wiimote.

Rush Rush Rally Racing seems REMARKABLY similar to ExciteTruck, which had excellent controls.

I will not make a pun about the developer name in relation to the system, I will not make a pun about the developer name in relation to the system...

This seems like an altogether bad move. It's not like there's a huge market for Dreamcast games anymore, the system is out of date now. It's been out of date for a while. It'd be a better idea to have this on another, more recent system(s) that has a larger, growing audience. Releasing a new title for the Dreamcast now is, in fact, a completely absurd move.

You could even say that the move is sen--NO. No puns. It's too easy.

EDIT:
As an acronym, the game would be RRRR. For whatever reason, I find this amusing.

Ive always wondered if developers were able to go and make games for old consoles and see what they can accomplish 3d visual wise.

I think it would be real funny to see a modern big developer try to make a nes game or something. Id think they would struggle tbh

Well, time to lug out the old girl and give her one last ride... (I'm talking about my Dreamcast for those of you who have filthy minds).

I'd argue the PS2 isn't (as) outdated, besides it's probably a lot harder to make a devkit for the PS2

Yeah...it's still a dirty thought though.

And Tales Of Monkey Island would be TOMI. I know a guy by that name, good fun. What does this have to do with anything? It doesn't.
