Gameplay Impressions of The Elder Scrolls Online - http://tamrielfoundry.com/2012/10/gameplay-impressions/

The general opinion I am seeing is that the game is nowhere near as bad as they thought it would be, that the game does feel like Skyrim in a lot of ways, and that they enjoyed playing it.

Which is surprising, because even I thought it would suck, and as anyone who knows me knows I practically live Elder scrolls fanboyism.

I think one of the more interesting things I read was this

II. The entire player population of The Elder Scrolls Online plays on one single server.
"Everyone plays on one server, and one network, everywhere. So your friends are always available to you [?] No shards, just create a character, click play, and get in the game, the game will figure out where to put you. No more ?server full? and no more ?ghosttowns?. We?ll never have to close shards because they are empty, and there will never be server queues."
My opinion on the game has gone from "why does this even exist" too, "this could be moderately shitty"

Baby steps, but still, some steps.

Some other notes to point out before I end are
-Many of the games quests have a GW2 feel to them, there not all "kill 10X".
-The combat has far more action elements to it, it isn't exactly like WoW combat, but it isn't exactly true action combat.
-There is an emphasis on Elder Scrolls style exploring
-The game does have a first person view
-As mentioned before everything is on ONE SERVER
-All classes can wear all armor types, and use all weapons.
-While there is the holy trinity, every class can take on every role based on the armor/weapons/skills they are using.
