Well, the Last Guardian has just been pushed aside for my most anticipated game of the year. This game looks absolutely amazing. From the impression I'm getting from the trailer they've exceeded my expectations in so many areas. Now excuse me as I watch it about 15 more times for good measure.
I kept on refreshing the page for at least 10 minutes until I realised that it was also put up on youtube, now I can't stop watching it again and again!! Looks amazing. Although it sucks that I'll probably have to upgrade to be able to play it, but I'm sure it will be worth it

Under normal circumstances Id be going mental for a Bioware title like DA2 or ME3, but since Biowares main concern now is snaring mass market casual gamers, and Im fully expecting it to show with ME3 (just like in ME2), I wouldnt be surprised if Ive purchased my last Bioware game ever with ME2.
Bethesda do dumb their games down as well, but Bioware have turned into dumbing down extremists by comparison. Im fully expecting there to be things needlessly ripped out in Skyrim like in Oblivion, but Bethesda seem willing to make up for it.
For starters it looks like they have finally implemented a magic system, particularly the offensive magic that is destruction, which now no longer is simply firing lightning, fire or ice subtraction spells at enemies, but actually has a unique and varied magic system.
The mage punching the ground in a blast of fire in the new vid looks like a massively welcome change as a regular magic user player.
Under normal circumstances Id be going mental for a Bioware title like DA2 or ME3, but since Biowares main concern now is snaring mass market casual gamers, and Im fully expecting it to show with ME3 (just like in ME2), I wouldnt be surprised if Ive purchased my last Bioware game ever with ME2.

Well now, that was...f-ing epic. Yes, better start hoarding snacks, energy drinks, and put aside some money for circa mid November.
Also, did anybody else think that the music was eerily similar to Morrowind's? Not that I'm complaining, I loved that music, but it does strike me as copied.

Oh my,I was a little sceptical at at first, but this is starting to look very impressive.
Also: Call of Magic/Nerevarrine combined with Skyrim choir is a solid win to me.
I hope Xilverbullet will make a Midas Magic mod for Elder Scrolls 5 as well.

I found the trailer to be very exciting. The kind of thing that's like, "Oh wow, this is totally an elder scrolls game!" The kinda thing where it's familiar, yet totally refreshing. From the miniscule amounts of details I've heard, they took everything awesome from Morrowind and Oblivion (and a few things from Fallout...), upgraded the graphics, physics, and AI, and then decided to throw dragons in for good measure (as well as a few fan requested things to add immersion like cooking). It looks AWESOME. After being SUPER DISAPPOINTED BY ALMOST EVERY GAME I'VE PURCHASED IN THE LAST COUPLE YEARS, I'm certain this will be one of the few games I'll ADORE this year.UBERfionn said:

That isn't to say that the graphics aren't awesome; they're 10x better than Oblivions... but they're also not as good as, say, Mass Effect either.
On the other hand, I'm somewhat happier about this because this means my computer should be able to run it to the MAX. Although I recently purchased a Toshiba P500 Satellite, which has relatively good specs with an i5 and Nvidia 330M, it's not entirely the BEST... but hey, it's a good gaming laptop for a college student on a budget. And it looks like I bought it at the perfect time too.

All the more buildup for what promises to be another Bethesda experience; shallow characters with nonexistent personalities, weak story, and watered down thump-thump shoot-shoot gameplay set amidst a sea of amazing graphics and physics.
I can't wait to try the game out only for it to crash every 20 minutes on a gaming-grade PC, supported by tech support staff who is so notoriously lazy that they require the fans to patch their fucking game for them.
And then have some smartass punk tell me how awesome his 360 is because it runs at half the framerate and even lower quality, but never crashes because that's the only version the game that Bethesda put any effort into making stable (before half-assedly porting it to PC anyway).

So what did this trailer tell me? That the game looks awesome, and...that's about it. Hell, if not for the constant marketing, I could have very well mistook this as mainstream Monster Hunter trailer.
Well, when they're ready to show off some actual gameplay footage, rather than half-second snippets from a debug-run, I might get interested. Until then, count me out.
