still no official release date for any of it though, and it is starting to aggrevate me
Yeah that's been bugging me too. I mean, we're in January now, and we have no idea when Operation Anchorage is going to hit XBL.

EDIT: Apparently they're putting out a patch before the DLC comes out so I guess whenever we get that update, the DLC wouldn't be too far away.

"Broken Steel not only extends the game to level 30, it alters the core ending," he continued. "It allows the player to continue exploring the ashen Wasteland and see the fruits that are born, or that die, from their decisions. It will reprise several main characters, and conclude some of the story threads left dangling."

That is not an improvement, that is a re-do.
That is what it sounds like to me as well.

Oh good, they've fixed their basic story telling errors then. And for only 800 Microsoft points! Whoa.

And a tactical simulation of a giant battle? Man that'd be totally tits on fire if it wasn't for the fact that combat was by far and the way the weakest string in the game's bow.

Fanboys: Waaaa, fix the ending
Bethesda: *fixes ending*
Fanboys: Waaaa, don't fix the ending.
(not saying these two posters specifically)

or alternatively "give us the DLC for free!" because apparently all people should work on add-ons for free without compensation for work.

I'm not complaining but it seems like they are just caving in and that seems very indecisive. More then likely it was like this:

Team Lead: Great game team now lets work on DLC.
Bethesda Slave: Uh who the hell is going to download DLC for a game that ends?
Team Lead: Umm we can count on the 360 players right?
Bethesda Slave: No they bitched about it as well. So no one is going to buy DLC for a game that is over.
Team Lead: Fuck. Ok lets fix the game so we can sell DLC like the Corporate Whores we are.
Bethesda Slave: Done.
