I checked the search bar and couldn't find anything like this. I think I heard that the new Futurama episodes were shown on the channel sky one today. Sorry if my information is wrong for all I know I might have mixed up the date.
My question is were the new episodes any good?
I only have four channels on my tv and all of them except for one are news and religion channels (I don't even know why).
Sorry again if I was wrong with the date.

Do you mean the kind of feature length ones or were there more after that? One of the feature length ones was shown today on Sky One anyway.

Oh and I thought the new ones were pretty woeful.

EDIT: Sorry, should've edited above one to fit this. No going back now.

The new episdoes are pretty good, just usuall futurama :)

Sadly its only 4 episodes and they are all interlinked and say "To be continued" at the end

The final two are on next sunday :)

Im sure they will have a catch up aswell, so don't worry :p

The new 'series' of Futurama screened on Sky today. Two half-hour episodes starting at 6 PM of a series of four. As they both ended with:

"TO BE CONTINUED"

One can assume that they were similar to the previously shown "Beast with a Billion Backs", etc. which were more of a movie length and shown in pieces as a series on TV. Whether this mini-series will be similarly released as a DVD has not been made clear to me. I don't see why not.

As to the quality of the episodes shown so far. They were ok. Nice to see them all again, but I think this kind of thing suffers from being spread out. I would have rather had 4 different self-contained storylines with the joke-density of a Simpsons episode. The pacing of a movie just makes you realize that you are watching fluff. Fun fluff, but not something you can spend two hours of your life on.

Without giving away any spoilers it has something to do with the corrupting influence of Dungeons and Dragons on the youth of the year 3000 and the apparent shortage of Dark Matter space fuel. Oh, and you get to see every character naked (pretty much).

yeah, that would be one of the movies, not actually the new episodes, just the movie cut into episode sized segments.

the new episodes are still coming.they just aren't out yet.I know because they just recently announced that they are getting the original voice actors, that and they didn't announce that they were doing new actual episodes till after the last movie into the wil green yonder had been shown.

quite a time gap between the last movie and the announcement of the true revival of the series actually

New episodes? You must mean the movies. They're split up into episodes for airing on television.

Otherwise they've gone from contract disputes to finished episodes awfully fast.

At least 8 or 9 months before anything will be aired, allowing time for animation. Fairly long process.

Comedy Central's playing "Into the Wild Green Yonder" tonight (9pm-11pm) in 4-parts, which they've done in the past with the other dvd-released movies. Gotta remember to set the DVR for these, I've liked the other Futurama movies so this one should be good, too.

As mentioned, it's most likely one of the movies they released and just cut into 4 "episodes". All 4 movies are available on DVD BTW. According to Wikipedia, the new TV episodes will be put on air in 2010.

Sky One said all new episodes, but it was the one where bender gets addicted to D&D which I can get on dvd. It completly led me into a trap.
