New game release: Legendary

Yesterday I discovered that Atari's new game Legendary had been released. The box art was intriguing and unfortunately I sometimes 'judge books by their covers' so I purchased it.

I noticed it wasn't available in EB games (I bought it from JB Hi-Fi). If anyone else has this game I'd like to hear your opinions because personally I think its rubbish. A waste of $69. The graphics seem outdated and while it is fast-paced the game hasn't drawn me in and I don't even feel like continuing it. Perhaps I'm judging it too fast.

Any thoughts on Legendary?

Is that the one where pandora's box gets opened in modern times? Eh, the subject matter doesn't really interest me, though I have heard both good and bad things about it. I am more of a sci-fi guy myself.

I think it's about mythical creatures invading cities. One ad had a picture of a bunch of griffons destroying a chopper. Looks pretty cool.

Don't. Its made by the same people who made Truning point. They make games with a good concept, but are poorly implemented.

That is exactly how I would describe it.

Yeah, I figured it would suck since Turning Point sucked so badly. It's too bad, cuz it sounded cool. I mean, fighting Gryphons with rocket launchers should make for an awesome game.

Hit the nail on the head. Great concept, yet execution is horrendous.
