So a while back I asked the escapist about getting a new gaming computer and I got some advice but now I can't find the thread and I need more help.

So I don't know much about the actual computer bits of computer and I have no idea how I would actually go about building a computer which I recall a lot of people suggesting last time so I was wondering if anyone had any computers they know of that would fit the following criteria:

- Powerful enough to play top of the range, new games comfortably
- Able to connect 2 monitors to it that can be used at the same time.
- A largeish hard drive
- In the £600-£800 price range (although if it had to go a bit over then this could probably be managed).

I hope this is attainable but if not then I'm open to any suggestions they have. I already own 2 potential monitors so that's not too much of a problem.

Thanks in advance for all the help.

I'd suggest that an Intel i5 2500k or even 2400 would be perfect, for graphics I'd go for an Nvidia GTX 560 ti.

I'll let others critique this build. I realise pairing a Phenom with a 580 makes a large power gap but the P2X4 is still a good CPU and the GPU is needed for running high end games on dual monitors well.
Nowt wrong with the build for the OPs purposes... the sorts of performance requirements they've listed are way more GPU dependent than CPU dependent so it was a good call, IMO. Plus Phenom II X4s are usually the best choice when working with a high-demand/small budget build... no point in dropping in an i5-2500K if it means you can't afford any other good kit to go with it.
