Here's what I can gather from the videos:
-Music is more dynamic. It's hard to hear in the videos, but the music changes when 47 is hiding in the closet, when he engages in combat, when enemies are suspicious and other scenarios.
-Disguising appears to be still present and improved. I was worried Absolution would play more like Splinter Cell Conviction, but 47 still disguised himself and still hid in plain sight along with Conviction style cover-based stealth. It looks like 47's chances of being detected are reduced by doing things like leaning over a balcony and looking at cabinets.
-A.I is better in and out of combat. You could see the guards that detected 47 split up and ran to cover at different parts of the room while several other guards barricaded themselves in the next room. I can't wait to see what other combat maneuvers the A.I will do in the full game.
-Sound design is brilliant. Like I said, it's hard to hear in the video, but when the two thugs were interrogating that captured police officer (or security guard, whatever) there were some pretty nasty sounds in the background. Screaming, gunshots, pistol whips and other brutal sound effects.
-Hiding bodies in more places, like ball pits and closets. Another sign of improved stealth and combat gameplay. 47 can also hide in a closet with a body, reminds me of the Night Mother in Skyrim.
-Enemies have more to say. They appear to have unique lines and side conservations. You could also see this in the Run for Your Life playthrough in October with Visano and other random banter between Cops.
So what do you think of this new footage? What did you see shown in the video?
