After reading the post "The end is nigh..." and finding some one who showed a video. The guy in the video told the view that you need to make games for younger audiences. Normally I'm not one to agree with a statement like that, for I have a f#cked up mind when it comes to kill video game people. Hell I want a game in which you run around a Vietnam-ish landscape and you have different ways to kill you enemies, different weapons, moves and also magic. All you do is torture the enemies, and you have a lot of health so you can do practically whatever you want. But the guy was right. We need to stop with all these adult games just for a little while or at least be a little kid friendly.
So my question is who has any ideas, because I would really like to hear them. I can't think of any at the moment but maybe I jsut need a little inspiration... so... discuss.

Kid friendly, eh? Well many gamers would have you believe all Wii games are that way. But your post immediately made my brain reflect on a few puzzle/adventure games way back that were designed to have the player make use of 'toon logic'. We could use another one like that, maybe using Paper Mario's crazy art style or the more common 'kiddy' technique, Cel-Shading. Basically any game without blood, guns, profanity n' death can probably be used as an example.

One such game I saw five-star reviews for but never got around to trying due to my not being a huge PC person at that point was 'Toonstruck', an adventure game involving Christopher Lloyd as the only live-action human amongst hundreds of crazy cartoon characters, among them a sidekick voiced by the one and only Dan Castanella. Apparently it was fun and cartoony but also featured some 'risque' humor as well. Anyone out there played it?

Well, if we're not just talking about kid-friendly games, I think Fallout 3 is a perfect example of this. Old fans cried foul when it was changed to a first person shooter, but think about it, a top down, isometric grid, turn based game wouldn't sell in this day and age to this audience. So Bethesda catered to a younger, more open minded audience. You can't blame em' for wanting to make money.
