New Info about Pokemon Black and White 2

Are these the only characters that will be returning, or will you be able to have a double battle against Gold and Red in the endgame? Beacuse I want a double battle with Gold and Red in the endgame.

So I'm confused, are you going to get your starter Pokemon from the first game back if you played it, or are you going to choose your starter like always? Because I would really like to see my Serperior again.

I'm more concerned with how they are going to let you transfer over all your Pokemon you've collected in B/W. My Pokedex is 400 and something and I have a fair few of that number ordered in my computer storage. If they do a 6 at a time limit like they have done with other games... I might break something!

You're not the same character as Black and White, you're a brand new trainer just starting your journey. So I assume moving Pokemon from B&W to B2&W2 would be done through normal trading.

Wonder if bringing in the old characters means some of the older pokemon will be available to be caught. Haven't played the games since Emerald. Tried Diamond. Didn't like it. I miss the originals like Gengar, Ninetales, Sandslash, etc. If they incorporate the ability to catch the old pokemon, not wifi trade for them, with the new plot featuring the old characters, they could make the best entry in the series ever.

Unlike Black and White, where you could only encounter the new Pokemon until after you defeat the league, these will have a much larger regional Pokedex of 300 Pokemon. Assuming all 5th generation Pokemon are available, around 150 old Pokemon will be returning.

And with the old Gym Leaders returning, I don't think they'll have anything to do with the plot of the game. There is going to be a stadium where the Gen IV Champion Cynthia is hosting the Pokemon World Tournament where you can battle the Gym Leaders from other regions.

Sure Garchomp was tough to beat but I had one in my party too and it's one of my favourite (my mate refuse to battle me again when I crush her beloved Mothim with my Garchop Meteor Mash).

Seriously? Pokemon have now run so thin on ideas they are literally just bringing out the same game twice with insanely slight area tweaks? It's bad enough selling what is essentially the same game with new pokemon each year since 96, but this one has three slightly retconned pokemon as the only edition to this game? Pokemon stopped being fun to play after platinum, and none of the starters have been any good since silver. I used to love pokemon, it was a huge part of my childhood, and it feels like they're just bleeding it dry. Am I the only person who thinks a George Lucas comparison is in order?

I wish they had kept with the teenagers instead of going back to kids for the sequel. I also would've preffered to stay as Jaden Yuki, but I could ignore all that, if the Starters weren't the crap ones from the first Black/White games.

If there is anything wrong with Braviary it's that it's too strong - I tend to not use anything else but Braviary, resulting in it being level 100 and the rest of my team stuck in the 70s still.

I too love me my Braviary (I even got a plush one at Comic Con), but mine isn't nearly the powerhouse yours are. *cries in a corner because I'm always terrible at games compared to everyone else*

So wait Black 2 and White 2 are sequels to Black and White version but they're bringing back characters from early games? Da fuq? I'd rather play Pokemon Brown. It'd be more humourous anyway.

so... do you have a problem with that? it's set in the same country as last game of course the older ones are in the new game. they just have different jobs now.

Well I haven't played Pokemon since Sapphire Version (which I loved along with Gold and Blue Version) so its not really a problem with me. But I don't get why they are bringing characters from the original iteration of the games into this one. Its a strange concept. I mean why are they even there? I always imagined the reason why you don't play the same character in each game was due to some invisible dome encasing each of the regions that cut off communication with people from other regions which also explained why you weren't likely to encounter pocket monsters from the region that you adventured in the previous game. Otherwise, there were huge jumps in time between each game allowing for diversity in pokemon types to appear and new creatures to develop as well as regions and cities to restructure or be relocated. In the end I have the opinion 'Da fuq?' as I don't really get the motivation behind the reasoning or motivation behind the characters being there. Though I haven't decided whether I might get the game or not as I don't properly know what it'll be like yet. Also the Pokemon Brown reference was related to a parody movie on Newgrounds as well as a reference to games that make little to no change in design with each release are like the color brown. Basically, I was trying to make a joke.

You don't find certain pokemon in all regions because they are environmentally sensitive.

...like real animals.

They tend to be pretty consistent with where you'll find animals with only a few strains being really prolific across all regions in their type. Like Zubat or Geodude.

Umm, COD, fair enough. But at least Halo has a differentiating plot and significant new elements to each game.The way you catch pokemon and plat pokemon HAS NEVER SIGNIFICANTLY CHANGED, And Each pokemon plot can be summed up as "child is given a pokemon, goes out catching moar pokemon, meets some bad guys, by the 7th gym they get off their asses and do something, kid beats them, catches legendary pokemon, does last gym, elite 4, then dicks around becaus the plots run out" and the only difference between each game was new interesting pokemon. Black and white 2 does not even have that, and nintendo are essentially publishing the same game with new boxart.
And all the pokemon from black and white look shit.

Black and White 2 are different because this is the first time in the main series they have ever made a direct sequel. if it isn't different enough for you then go play one of the side games

Just to point out from earlier, but among Normal types are some of the scariest beasts in the Pokemon games, including Zangoose, Slaking, Snorlax, Togekiss, Ursaring, etc, etc, Regigigas, and GOD HIMSELF.

Arceus is a Normal type.

By no means should you ever underestimate Normal types.
