Well it's not actually in my possession yet but I have been looking at a Dell XPS 17 going for £729 in a clearance sale (sorry if this breaks any T of S rules for the forums by the way).

4GB Dual Channel DDR3 SDRAM at 1333MHz
1000GB SATA hard drive (7200RPM)
3GB NVIDIA® GeForce® GT 445M Graphics Card
Intel® Centrino® Wireless-N 1000 (EUR)
9-cell 90Whr Lithium Ion battery
Please lend me your knowledge forum dwellers! Is this a worth while purchase? I have had 2 poor old machines (a 6 year old Dell & a Samsung R610) and never reached graphic settings above lowest settings on BF2 and FO3/FO: NV (for example) while maintaining a decent framerate and a low blood pressure.
Any idea what kind of performance I can expect from this thing? Baring in mind the highest specs I've ever experienced are 3GB DDR2 RAM, 256mb dedicated graphics, 2.0 dual core etc.
As you can see I'm a techno noob. Any help or advice is appreciated.
