Took the words right out of my mouth.Baby Tea said:Why is everyone complaining about this?
First off: It's 160 MS points. Seriously.
Secondly: It's cosmetic. This DLC release isn't trying to be a big expansion. It's just a fun, small release to provide a little extra 'stuff' for those who want it. It doesn't change the plot, nobody is 'losing' anything by not getting it, and those who are willing to pay for it are getting what they pay for.
And I also don't get this hate or unhappiness about Kasumi. Yeah, the actual mission is only an hour or so, but you get a new character to use for the entire game. She doesn't have a romance option, or as deep conversation options as other 'core' characters, but she does have a bad-ass ability and is pretty handy to have around in a fight. So, really, if you use her the whole game, you've got about 30 hours worth of changed, if not new, content.
I just don't understand people complaining about DLC that isn't trying to be a huge grand thing. They aren't over-charging and it's totally optional. There is no 'canon' sensitive material you're missing out on here if you don't get it. So why are people complaining?
You aren't 'owed' this content. The game is fully complete without it. So why complain?
If it's not for you, it's not for you...but to complain? I don't get it.
Well to be honest I made the thread more as an announcement that they had released new DLC more than anything.MercurySteam said:I don't see any reason not to by it, nor do I see any reason why people think it is woth debating over.
No. Not even that. I want them to focus on Mass Effect 3, rather than bringing out this - sorry to offend anyone - useless crap.ZeppMan217 said:Disappointed. Those small DLCs are annoying. I wanna see some big expansions like for DA.
Considering the very little effort required to make this stuff, I sincerely doubt they are stopping the lead designers/creators of Mass Effect 3 from working on the upcoming game in order to be making it.Rainheart said:No. Not even that. You're right, of course not. Even though it is minimal effort involved, it still could be used for something else. These Mini-DLCs are not useful, they do not add anything relevant to the game and they are completely pointless. Mass Effect 2 isn't focused on items, so why is Bioware giving a fuck and releasing new ones? I have nothing against DLCs and I understand, that they are somehow the 'future', but come on. This is not a DLC, this is no different from an Item Shop and that's just not appropiate for this game.Legion said:Considering the very little effort required to make this stuff, I sincerely doubt they are stopping the lead designers/creators of Mass Effect 3 from working on the upcoming game in order to be making it.Rainheart said:No. Not even that. I will admit I am disappointed, but seeing as these are optional (optional and not keeping anything from the player) I have no issue with them. I do hope they bring out a full length DLC sometime soon though, something that'll bring me back to the game for a few more hours at the very least.Rainheart said:You're right, of course not. Well. That said, I am not really angry about it. It's just so pointless, I don't want to waste emotions on this topic.
Like a melee combat system with laser swords?! I'd like them to continuously add conversations for team members, not as DLC but along with DLC whenever they release it. Especially for romance options, it is very odd to have Tali say the same thing she said prior to "unmasking" her over and over again.Rainheart said:Like a melee combat system with laser swords?! Their best DLC was "The Stone Prisoner" and it was free with new copies of Dragon Age. And even then, I'd never have PAID for it.
