Remember those old school Mickey Mouse shorts? Well, more of them are being made. And they are HILLARIOUS~!

A bit of crude humor, but if you ask me, the closest we have gotten to Mickey's old personality.

And this one is damn brilliant.

Here is one in French. Why? I don't know.

That was great, can't wait to see more. Where can I find them?

Oh, and I loved the New York short in particular. It escalated perfectly.

Bwahaha, that New York Weenie one was great. The end had me laughing hysterically. Saw the Tokyo one earlier in a news post.

Seriously Disney, keep up the good work. These new shorts are awesome. Who says you can't make a good cartoon with Mickey Mouse anymore?

They have a french one, too.

I'm loving these shorts, though. They have loads of charm and they look great.

I have a couple of minor problems with them (I feel like they lost Mickey's character a bit in the New York weenie one, his breakdown was more of a Donald Duck thing than a Mickey Mouse thing), and at times they seem to be trying to channel Adventure Time or classic Looney Toons, but otherwise I absolutely love the style and I think it's great to see them stretching their creative wings again. It is a huge change from their most recent formulas, stylistically and narratively. And they really needed to start making shorts again after House of Mouse ended.

Keep on truckin', Disney! And don't forget to share a bit of this creativity with your live-action department! Your animation's getting better, but your live-action TV shows and films still need some work.

For years, Mickey Mouse has not really done anything notable besides being Disney's mascot. Donald's shorts were always more popular, and Mickey's last film appearance was Fantasia 2000. The problem with Mickey is that he really had almost no character. Post Walt Disney's death, nobody was really willing to give him character flaws or really flush the guy out. Epic Mickey really TRIED to really explore the character and the property, but time, budget, and content restrictions really killed the deconstruction of Mickey that really was.

I love these new shorts. Having him face actual problems, embracing cartoon physics, taking place in areas besides the US, and willingness to work with a different art style just WORKS. Mickey Mouse has really been reconstructed for the modern age. :D

Also, WHERE IS THE TOKYO ONE! I REALLY WANT TO SEE IT DX

My word, did Disney remember that Mickey used to be a mischievous little trouble maker and the fact that he made cartoons alongside being a mascot!?
I loved these, they reminded me of the old Mickey Mouse cartoons I grew up with. Definitely gonna wait for more.

What? Have you not seen the old Mickey Mouse cartoons? What, it's only been recently that he had a change to being the nice guy. Prior to that, this was how he was like.
Yes, as a matter of fact I have seen many older Mickey cartoons. And he does get angry sometimes, but he doesn't get nearly that neurotic. If they're going to have a short where somebody gets angry to the point of craziness, that'd be a Donald cartoon. I don't have a problem with the fact that he got angry, it just got a little too over-the-top.
