New Monkey Island game

Tales of Monkey Island is a new MI game by Telltale Games, planning to be released in five parts on a monthly basis. Personally I don't see this game being good for two reasons:

1. The Monkey Island series gradually reduced in quality. The last game, Escape from Monkey Island, was pretty bad in my opinion.

2. Telltale Games is making this game. Some people may like them, but I've found their games to be pretty boring. They don't have good writing or pacing and the budgets are usually pretty low.

Thankfully there is a Secret of Monkey Island: Special Edition coming out from Lucasarts, which is just a remake, but looks very good.

On Telltale, I found the first series of Sam and Max that they did decent, but not great. I've seen a trailer clip for their Monkey Island series, and I really don't like the look.

If you compare the remake with the new series, you wonder why they couldn't use the same art style.

Do you seriously think that? Double Fine aside, I've found them to have the best comedy writing and timing in the industry, although I agree their pacing can be a bit iffy.
