I think I'll continue to watch movies and TV for free on the internet. Why would I pay for something? I'm already paying for Xbox LIVE. Are these people retarded?

Everytime I go to Hulu, they only have the last five episodes of the shows they have. It's the same with Fox and from what I can tell, all the major networks. Then, I go to ABC.com. I watched all the freaking episodes of Lost there. A few old school commercials was all I had to endure.

Why the crap can't other stations do this? In my opinion THIS is the future of TV on the internet, not the "Oh yeah, I hear all the youngins are in on that interwebs thing" that the other stations are doing. I think the forced add commercials are a bit old fashioned but seriously, you have your shows on there, you have your adds. People are watching just like they would on a TV, and they come to you instead of pirating your stuff. Why wouldn't you want to do this?
That makes WAAAAAAY too much sense to be plausible. These are corporations you're talking about. They don't think logically, they just think about how to make money.

Thats what irritates me so much. I'm willing to bet that ABC makes just as much from their online video service showing everything as Fox does showing five episodes, if not more. The difference is that if someone online wants to watch an ABC show, like the entire thing, they go to ABC.com to find it. If they want to watch an old episode of say, Family Guy, they're gonna go to some pirate website.

That's money that Fox is losing, as well as viewers. I mean, I don't really watch TV, but seriously if there's a show I might like on Fox and don't know about it, it would be easy to advertise it on their website, which I would see if I were watching their shows there. But I think eventually they'll have it, once ABC starts to pull ahead in the "less pirated" catagory. Like I said, I believe it's the way of the future for online TV.

Especially since FOX and ABC are already free to watch (TV and Anteana required). I think they just want to make DVD sales off of old seasons. But why would you buy a DVD box set when you can watch all the old episodes on ABC, or just pirate the FOX shows? They neeed to realize we want TV fully on the internet. I hope it doesn't take long, because I just replaced my TV set with a monitor. Right now though, TV on the internet is crazy talk to these networks it seems.

Yeah I think the problem is that the people running these stations are still old fogeys that don't understand the internet and probably think it's just a fad. Television on the internet will either come about in one of two ways:

The big networks will realize the pull and interest and finally give us what we want, or someone is going to create an all internet TV network and blow the old networks out of the water. Or at least force them to finally pony up and make their own tv shows available online.

I still like buying DVD's. I mean, I like to bring my shows over to friends' houses if they don't have the internet and just watch them without adds or loading times. So I mean, surely they'll see that their DVD sales will still be strong. Heck, it might actually be stronger. Perhaps TV ads pay alot more then internet ads, and I could see that being a factor in why they haven't all switched to online TV.

If it does ever happen, I think they're going to have to ditch the "usual" commercials. Interrupting the show for commercials is the old way to do things as well. Eventually something else, whether it be pop up adds or adds that only play before or after a show will hopefully replace these things. You won't need to worry about bathroom breaks because you can pause whenever you want and go. Sadly I don't think this will come to pass for a few years yet, even in some kind of primative form. For now, the best we can do is watch our stuff on ABC as it is and wish that the other networks followed suit.

If the list of cartoons say anything, it certainly isn't worth any amount of subscription fee. I mean, the only show worth watching on the site is X-Men: Evolution.

Netflix is already available on all smart devices, and many feel that Hulu definitely won't be able to compete. But in my opinion, the two are very different. But one thing is for sure, Hulu Plus is soon going to be accessible on the iPhone, iPad, Blu-ray players, and numerous other electronic devices. The current version of Hulu provides good quality streaming of some of your preferred shows right to your personal computer. You won't have to get a loan to afford the $10 monthly subscription fee to stream these shows to your wise devices.
