I looked for another topic about this, but couldn't find one.

I've noticed Extra Credits has been removed from the side panel, and when I tried to look it up, I couldn't find any working links to the old episodes.

I'm very disappointed if they've stopped doing the show-I really enjoyed it, and it always seemed like a fan favourite. I'm also disappointed if this is the case, and they didn't record a goodbye show. That seems like the sort of thing they'd do.

Mostly though I'm a bit disappointed at The Escapist. I don't know about you guys, but I've never seen or received a notice updating us when shows come and go. I'm suspicious that Extra Credits went so quickly and quietly as well. I understand perhaps putting the show off until the artist recovers, and respect that it may have needed to be done. However, the Lisa Foiles show was on the sidebar, with back episodes to view, for a very long time. I appreciate that she was supposed to return, but she didn't, did she?

So, basically, I'm fishing for answers. Are they gone? Will they return? Why are back episodes not available? Why is there no official notice regarding the removal of shows (or if there is, someone please link me to it). Most importantly, how do you, Escapisteers feel about this situation, and about Extra Credits in general?

Finally, if it is gone, and gone for good, I want to extend my many thanks to the Extra Credits guys, for one of the finest series I've had the pleasure to watch on any format. Funny, entertaining, insightful and educational, your topics have provided a cornerstone for many pub conversations, a platform for many non/casual gamers to take their first steps into considering games as a medium in their own right, and something to geniunely look forward to on the internet every single week. Thanks guys, and good luck.

Would you like an official update from The Escapist regarding their featured content and cancellations? Like a newsletter (which I know they have, but I haven't received one in a very long time...)

They left after a dispute over the money from the RocketHub donations for Allison's surgery. Basically, no-one expected there to be so much of it, so they didn't bother to define who the excess belonged to and started arguing.

They will not be returning. There were issues between The Escapist and Extra Credits regarding the money that went to fixing their artists arm which came from that fundraiser they did.Theyre was some big controversy between the two.

I'm surprised you didn't hear about it earlier.

You weren't paying attention if you think they left quietly.

There was a two week long very public set of statements, counter statements, and forum threats. There was a serious contract dispute.

I'm on this site every day, I'm extremely surprised that I missed this. I didn't realise that the rockethub thing and the Escapist had anything to do with each other, but I keep well out of it

If you couldn't find the 70+ page thread that has been going on for a couple of weeks. You have been using the search bar wrong.

It's embarrassing, normally I pride my self on my searching skills

To fair to the OP nothing official was posted on the site and I know a few escapees who knew nothing about it. But yeah they are gone and lots of other contributers mentioned pay issues.

There was a giant thread about it with info, but it might've gotten deleted because it basically devolved into everyone throwing shit at one side or the other. Either way there were money issues, so Extra Credits and the Escapist decided to part ways.

As for my personal opinion, I couldn't really care less. I never really liked EC, but I ignored it just fine.

the escapist has actually uploaded most of their videos onto youtube, including zp, ec, unskippable, top 5 with lisa foiles, escape to the movies, apocalypse lane, doomsday arcade, enn, there will be brawl, daily drop, show about games show, etc.

Wow a lot more people missed this than I thought seeing as the escapist almost went into anarchy. As for the new question I would like it if thry gave us a little more information then what they give us but if they don't that's fine because the forum usually explodes whenever something big happens.
