There's a new Riddick movie in the works? I mean... YAY AWESOME SAUCE!
Also, Vin Diesel is like Keanu Reeves; he is good at being himself, and so long as he sticks to that, he is fantastic. Anything else though, makes my stomach upset and my brain try to kill me.

The Riddick films were awesome. They might've not been that good in terms of quality but they sure were fun to watch.

Oh good, we get to enjoy more of Vin Diesel's acting.

The guy might be a gamer like one of us and enjoys geek culture, but he ain't a great actor.

That said, I do enjoy the films despite him.
He's this generation's Schwarzenegger, just without the foreign accent.

I'm glad. I enjoyed the character, and I liked the direction the second film went in, despite it feeling bogged down. I wouldn't mind seeing a conclusion though.
Erm.. Him being in charge of an unchallenged force in control of everything is a fairly solid conclusion all on it's own.

Eugh. Just... eugh.

Pitch Black was an awesome film ruined by the sequel, the juxtaposition between the 2 styles was just utterly fucking awful and ruined anything that might have been good about the sequel.

How do you go from hard(ish) sci-fi to 40k style high fantasy sci-fi in the space of 1 film? And now we're getting another, eugh.

I still don't care and I still want another Riddick game instead. An awesome one like Escape from Butcher Bay if possible. That game was probably the biggest surprise ever because I really expected it to be nothing more than cash-in on movie success.

I like Vin Diesel. Probably because he's a hardcore gamer. And deep down he's a huge nerd. Did you know that he used to play D&D religiously? I never played it, but I know it's the nerdiest thing you can do in high school.

Pick up where it left off? I hope they mean filming wise. Please let it be set between Dark Athena and Pitch Black. I still cant figure out how the two connect.
Don't worry, that's what they meant.

Plus, if it's a sequel to Chronicles then what's it going to be about? Riddick rampaging through the galaxy with his invincible zombie-ghost army....Scratch that, I would watch the hell out of that movie.

Still, I hope it goes more the route of Pitch Black, where Riddick had actual depth, rather than in Chronicles where Vin turned him into a walking macho cliché.
The necromongers(?) could all turn on him or something... I don't really see him leading an army for very long, or at least an army that will stay alive for very long...

I would call that a fair assessment. Though I felt that the setup wouldn't have been to Riddick's liking. I just don't see him going and conquering worlds in the same manner as the people he fought against the entire movie.
