I don't know if anybody here watches the show "Real Time with Bill Maher,"
I don't watch anything with Bill Maher, he's a colossal idiot and a bully.

My new rule would be don't watch Bill Maher.
I've not heard of him, so I'm doing really well with this rule, whats the next rule?
That's it, that's the only rule. No other rules are really needed. Society willl be fine as long as nobody exposes themselves to that arrogant, bullying, unfunny Bill Maher person.

Have you ever even watched Bill Maher's show before, or are you just going by what you've probably seen on conservative opinion shows or right-wing websites? It's a decent show, that provides a decent mix of comedy and politics in my opinion. If you don't like it, that's fine. As I said before, I respect your feelings. But this isn't a "I hate Bill Maher" topic. Heck, it isn't even that much of a "I love Bill Maher" topic. It's just a topic for people to post their own new rules or post a funny new rule that they remember from the show. Like this one...

New Rule: Stop pretending to be so shocked that the girl from the Harry Potter movies is now a hottie. Wow, she was a cute little eleven-year-old girl in that first movie...who would have dreamed that eight short years later she?d turn out to be 19? Relax...if you?re an adult seeing the new Harry Potter movie, you don?t have to be ashamed about being attracted to her. What you?ve got to be ashamed about is that you?re an adult, seeing the new Harry Potter movie.

See, was it that bad? This topic is for fun. So let's try to not get too serious with the political stuff and just focus on the funny. :D

Yes I've seen his show. It's not that I disagree with him (often I actually agree with him 100%!), it's the way in which he presents his opinion which I personally find to be absolutely offensive and disgusting. Louis Theroux does the same thing but about 100 times funnier and more effectively.

I don't know who Louis Theroux was, but I just checked him out on Wikipedia and he looks like a cool guy. If how Bill Maher does his show and in the tone in which he does it offends you, then that's understandable. There are at times he says things I think do cross a few lines, but that's what a lot of comedians do. In the end though, this topic is meant for fun and it isn't a "I love" or "I hate" Bill Maher topic. But I do understand your opinion and respect it.

So does anybody else have any new rules they'd like to quote from the show? Or does anybody want to post their own new rule here? It can be about any topic, regardless of how weird it may be as long as it tries not to be too political or hateful. Heck, if you want to say a new rule about something on this site, go ahead as long as it's respectful and not serious.

New Rule: You must participate in a conversation with a French bloke for at least an hour a day.
I'm French Canadian, so can I just talk to myself for an hour?

and could you define 'talking'? There's some young ladies that like to 'talk' to me, but I want to be certain that I'm not misunderstanding the premise behind your rule.

*winkwink nudgenudge* Say no more, say no more!
