The last episode aired in March... why is there a thread now? Ans why is it implying the show is still going?
^This, all the seasons have already been aired, 9th included. As for S9, yeah, it's not as good (and I really loved the S8 ending), but it's still somewhat fun. I just hate the Twilight wannabe kid, but thankfully so does everyone else on the show most of the time.

I don't get why it bothers people when a show keeps going past the point where they considered it good. If you can still get a laugh out of it, great, if not, just stop watching it? I mean no one's tying you to a chair and forcing you to watch it and in Scrubs' case, you even had a proper S8 ending so it's not like you didn't get closure or sth.

Granted its not as good as the old ones, but its mildly entertaining. Nothing else on on monday really.
Cept football and there's plenty of basketball. I think I'd rather go blind than watch scrubs anymore.

It did, well at least in my heart anyways. Haven't seen the new scrubs yet and prolly won't.

Season 9 ended ages ago. I thought it was decent but nowhere near the best seasons of Scrubs.

The first two seasons were pretty good, but the rest is just awful. That is probably one of the few series I can remember that has gone from good to bad this fast, and I am genuinely amazed that people still tune in, and even worse, actually think that it is funny.

I thought scrubs was cancelled after EVERYONE hated the season after J.D. The janitor, and half of the original cast left and were replaced with annoying fairly one-dimensional characters.

I think I watched maybe 2 episodes of this new series and realised it was terrible and gave up. They should have just ended it with JD leaving, they tried to give it a reboot with the 'same' characters and in my opinion Scrubs was all about JD, with him not there it's not Scrubs.

You know what, I agree. I'm going to put this one on my brother though who seems to have the haze over his eyes thinking that it could still be good and me just happening to be in the room. But sometimes you have to watch terrible stuff to make you realise what the good stuff really is, that's probably why those '1001 Things to Read/ See/ Watch/ Play before you die' books work so well, they help you get a perspective against everything else.

It's still funny but it's not as good as it used to be, it just isn't scrubs without the janitor, god i love that guy.

I thought the first couple of episodes were alright, the cameo with the Janitor where he just lets the mop fall to the floor and walks out when he learns JD isn't coming back cracked me up. The series lost something though and after episode 5 or 6 I stopped watching.

I don't want to say it was simply Zach Braff leaving, the whole dynamic of the show changed and it became less engaging.

I'll admit, Season 9 hasn't done anything to make me watch it. At all. I watched the first two shows, then just forgot about it, only remembering it was on when E4/C4 advertised it.

To me, it's just lost the ability to balance comedy and drama as well as the previous seasons did. For example, Ben Sullivan's plot and his battle against Leukaemia is a prime example of the way they used to balance comedy and drama perfectly, making fun of a rather sensitive subject whilst addressing the seriousness of the subject. And I'll echo the comment of standokan and Pariah87 on this page, without the Janitor, and of course JD, it just seems like they've said "Right, we know this will be poor, lets just roll it out, wrap the show up and move on." Plus, it appears to me Dr. Cox is no longer the Cox I know and love, he seems to be just a jackass. Which, admittedly, he was but he was a jackass that cared and had some great one liners/rants. This time out he just seems to be pure anger.

For me, it should've ended when season 8 ended. The last episode of that season sort of wrapped everything up by showing a few glimpses of what was going to happen with the lives of others and JD. That should've been the time they bowed out and walked away. Season 9 just feels like an attempt to try and regain lost glories.

...
It also doesn't help that the new cast are extremely unlikeable. >>
