Although the always on internet connection to origin is absolute bullshit, at least it has a better reason than most games with this.
It's always on to better utilize the multiplayer and cloud functionalities of the game, which I can sorta get behind. However this is clearly not 100% the case...
What's so fucking hard about putting in an offline mode?... Stop screwing over PC gamers with your absolute bullshit attempt to stop piracy, and an even bullshittier attempt to hide the fact that you're trying to stop piracy.
They will find a way around your shit in a matter of hours of it's release, while other legitimate PC players have to suffer the always on internet connection bumfuckery. For god sake, you're making piracy pay, EA! Think about it!
1 - Spend your hard earned money on a game that may or may not be disappointing, to trek past all of your security, sign in to 10,000 internet services, and play the game with a constant internet connection. And in two years when EA servers for the game are removed, you won't be able to play it whatsoever.
Or 2 - Pirate the game, spend a few hours downloading it, crack it, play forever with no interruptions or security measures to get past. Maybe about 4 more clicks than you otherwise would of clicked on updating the game, but it won't take but 10 seconds longer...
For god sake EA, Pirates are clearly offering a better, cleaner, more streamlined service than you are. The pirates have a one up on you in every single aspect of your business strategy. Sort it out.
