You don't need top Hollywood actors or anyone like that, you need professional voice actors like Jim Cummings, Jim Ward, James Hong, Fred Tatasciore, Hank Azaria and the late-great Mel Blanc. People who have had plenty of expereince voicing characters, people like Jim Cummings have voiced so many different characters, characters that have very different voices mind you, that you don't even realise it's the same actor.Stu35 said:Whilst I agree with the sentiment, I think for a game like this I'd rather have 70 NPC voices where they got the developers and their girlfriends in for a couple of days to do dialogue, than have, for example, Patrick Stewart and Helen Mirren doing everyone. It's not the quantity, it's the quality.
Whilst the latter have all the quality in the world, the former would probably add a bit more immersion.
Of course, Oblivion seemed to get the worst of both worlds (aside from Patrick Stewart and Sean Bean of course), where we had two rather poor voice actors doing everyone.
If he can voice a harmless bear-thing (pooh) and a scientist fused with a computer and a virus- mutagen thing without me noticing similarities, I'd say that he is a god voice actor.ChupathingyX said:Jim Cummings has done the voice for Winnie the Pooh, The Master in Fallout 1 and Ed in The Lion King...what do these character voices have in common?
Welcome to the club.King Toasty said:That Argonian. Holy shit, that Argonian.
Fuck humans, I'm going to be a lizard-assassin.

Everything else either looks outright fugly to just alright... mainly due to the repulsive graphics engine more than anything. Yuck... even Oblivion characters looked better than some of these.
None yet to my knowledge. Maybe one of the old screenshots? Bretons aren't that visually interesting, which is probably why no reviewer chose to play as one. There are more screens to be revealed though:Patrick_and_the_ricks said:Is there a picture of Bretons?Who Dares Wins said:Snip
Same, besides the Nords Bretons are my favorite race.Who Dares Wins said:Hope that the Gamespy guy played a Breton.
Doesn't look like a Redguard to me. I'll just leave it as it is because there was no confirmation of anything.HappyCastor said:In the old pictures, the male Imperial is actually a Red Guard, but the second one is Imperial.
What? Also, I think the High Elves are actually Dark Elves.
I wish people would read the thread sometimes, these are screenshots of characters the reviewers and journalists made. No new race is possible since these are the only normal ones. Plus, these are the only ones that fit in the setting, Akaviri races suddenly appearing in Skyrim wouldn't make much sense. No Bretons, or how about a new race?
