New Steam Problem

last sunday, steam finally worked on my computer. i didnt change anything, it just suddenly decided to work and i played mount and blade warband all day. i come home from work the next day and it doest work anymore (again).

the new messege i'm getting is "unable to connect to steam network. offline mode is unavailable because there is no steam login info stored on this computer. you will not be able to use steam until you can connect to the steam network again."

i realize steam's not the problem, it's my internet. i can connect to the internet just fine but steam can't.

can anyone help me out here? and why did it work for one day and not work the next?

This would have made more sense in the advice forum.

Best I can say, is get in touch with steam support and your internet provider. The former is usually more than happy to help people (after all, if people can't use steam, they'll stop sending Valve money) As for the latter... Well, that depends on your provider.

Valve will always help and in most cases Comcast will as well(if thats your service provider)

Check there isn't any firewall problems. Also, might be a good idea to rename ClientRegistry.blob.
