I like the new UI. The old UI was clean and simple but its nice to have a change.
Also it seems to run faster for me

My PC is pretty decent and it can run every newest game with no slow downs so I assume that steam is just buggy and horribly optimized.Dr Grimoure said:Maybe your computer cant handle it? I mean my computer is something that came out of a god forsaken landfill with low low low budget and cheap hardware and I never have any slowing or freezing (except one freeze, just made me update the client).AWAR said:It sucks ass.It is also slow and constantly freezes. Plus it deleted my modern warfare and I'll have to download 11 gigs now...
Also a friend of mine got his friends list wiped and letters wont display on his screen.
Also, if it was MW2 that was deleted, just save yourself the trouble and dont re-download it.

Oh but it's more than just a simple new skin. Take a time browsing all the new stuff, and you see it's more than a new makeover.SextusMaximus said:My feelings? pointless... people who like the old look will be dissapointed, those who didn't would think meh. Basically a new skin.
xDSnotnarok said:The biggest issues with it is (besides MW2 redownload) is you get no community/store pages, but that's okay for me, because it saves money.
Did you leave the beta early on? A few testshell errors and some early bugs aside, and the occasional failure to load the big icons in the Grid view, I think it's actually quite stable. It has a load more features than the old version, and overall I think it's an improvement, even in beta.e2density said:The beta has been out for a while.
And it's bad. Very buggy.

It's quite stable now. Haven't had no bugs, crashes pr strange lights flickering for quite some time. The new Steam Overlay actually holds on for more than a couple of minutes and all.Timbydude said:I tried it a little while ago, and I liked the look of it, but it kept crashing and I couldn't buy games.
They really better fix that before it officially launches...
Really? Hmm. Downloading now to see if this is true. Thanks for the heads-up; as I said before, I love the actual look of the UI.oliveira8 said:e2density said:The beta has been out for a while.

Which also coincides with the beta going full version in a couple of weeks so I guess the major bugs, crashes, bad decisions are all ironed out.
Why not change it up? We've been looking at the same thing for years now. I'm happy they're at least trying to revamp it.ethaninja said:I just don't understand why they did it.
