I hope they bring ROB back, his down+a sweep was the best bread'n'butter attack ive ever used. The new character might be a left field one, take a look at the wii u library, lots of potential from just those games alone
New Super Smash Bros. 4 Character Will be Revealed on Monday

Wonder Red has been shown off in the game as a standard trophy, which seems to indicate that he (who is the clear candidate to represent Wonderful 101) won't be playable. That said this isn't an outright deconfirmation of inclusion unlike being shown off as an Assist Trophy, so for all we know this could be a trick on Sakurai's part to make us think he's not playable, I wouldn't put it past him.joshuaayt said:

That'd be Mii Fighter. If you check out the official website, they are the only character to not have their own symbol and their symbol is instead that of Super Smash Bros series. The biggest SSB rumour, the Genmatsu leaks, suggests Chrom will be playable though I hope that's not the case. I imagine there are ways to make him play differently from Marth and Ike, but just in terms of design it matches up to a 3rd blue haired swordsman and I feel their are more interesting possibilities for Fire Emblem reps. I think Robin or Lucina could be likely ones, the former fitting well into a lot of the customisation aspect Sakurai has been doing with this SSB and the latter being hugely popular in Japan. That said, if we were to get another Fire Emblem rep, I'd personally want Anna. She has been in all but one Fire Emblem game so she does well in representing the series as a whole, particularly now that she recieved a playable role in the latest Fire Emblem game.
I'm sorry to say but Skull Kid was one of the first Assist Trophies shown off by Sakurai for Super Smash Bros for Wii U. As such, he is definitely not going to be playable in this instalment.FancyNick said:

I hope to be surprised by this newcomer reveal, but given the Genmatsu leak, if it's any of those three it really won't come as a surprise.

I agree entirely with this, though in the case that the Genmatsu leak is true, that doesn't prevent other characters getting in. After all, the Genmatsu leak failed to predict Rosalina in any form at all, and Greninja was only leaked as a X/Y Pokémon, so the leak is not entirely precise or perfect. We may get some additional newcomers that were not revealed in the leak.ToastiestZombie said:

Yeah I did mean to say Chrom. I'll edit the post now. And another point, seeing as the video is 3 minutes I wouldn't be surprised if it's like the Greninja reveal where two characters are revealed in one video.Sould1n said:

Predictions / What I want to see:
Predictions: Shulk since the Xenoblade guys re-tweeted this announcement. On the off-chance that is just a misdirect, It wouldn't surprise me to hear of another Zelda character since I think the Mario and Pokemon Rosters are done and I only suspect Zelda due to Hyrule Warriors being right around the corner. For new guys, Ghiraham is high on that list. For some reason, not expect a new Fire Emblem character... which is disappointing. Maybe Custom Robo or another Nintendo brand will get some love, but I wouldn't count on it.
What I want to see: Bayonetta. I know it won't happen and probably shouldn't, but damn I would shit bricks if that was the reveal. Barring that, there's really nothing else (newcomer wise) that I want to see that I could theoretically happen. Cool as it would be, Ridley likely won't make it. Geno is impossible until Square decides to play nice. King K Rool would be fun, but his lack of appearance in any recent DK game makes me think that won't happen either.
Returning Favorites: They might show off some of the returning veterans as well and so I'll throw my piece in for this. I want to see Captain Falcon and Ness (improved) return. I don't care about Jigglypuff at all. I wouldn't mind seeing Falco return, but if it means cutting Wolf, I'd rather see Wolf and have Falco just be an alternate costume or something. Ganondorf. Please bring him back and stop screwing him over with him being a Falcon-Clone. He's a goddamn wizard for Nayru's sake! Meta Knight, but hopefully make him less spam-crazy. Wario because he was just a fun goofball. Game & Watch is likely to be back because of the Pac-Man trailer, though I was fine thinking he was done along with ROB. And don't care about the Ice Climbers because it seems like Rosalina has a similar gimmick going on, but based on the demo I played, she is much easier to pick up and play by comparison. And, no, I'm not expecting Mewtwo to come back. I'd love for him to be back in some way, shape, or form. But can we stop asking? It ain't happening.
